Wes has been eating a lot; which has been making him go through several wardrobe changes throughout the day, if ya get my drift:
Pearl was starting to look and smell pretty homeless so I figured it may be fun to let Tenley help give her a bath and it may teach her a thing or two about chores. She loveddd helping and thought it was hil-ar-ious when Pearl would shake off. Every time Pearl would shake Tenley would yell, "shh-ake!" and shake her whole body...I was cracking up! I don't think Pearl had quite as much fun as the two of us, though:
After drying Pearl off, Tenley watched Rio on the iPad with Pearl while I cuddled Miss Cakey:
The twins exercised on their play mat and looked absolutely adorable while doing so:
(Love those piggies!)
Before heading to the park Tuesday morning, I had to snap pictures of the twins in their beyond cute adidas track suits from Lindsay's sweet mom, Sandi:
(Tenley thought Wes needed a matching headband, too. These are my favorite matching outfits...so funny and absolutely adorable! Thanks again, Sandi!)
We picked up Linds and Isla and headed to one of our favorite parks- Reunion Trails. Going to the park would not be a possibility without Linds. She's a total life saver with all my kiddos. I brought both Ergos and she wore Ev, while I wore Wes. Both babies fell asleep in the Ergos and we got to chase around our crazies with ease. We had such a fun day and enjoyed the gorgeous weather:
(Thanks for being my sister wife, Linds!)
The twins woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed Wednesday morning:
Tenley learned how to flip the iPhone camera on herself and take a selfie (I know, right?!). She had fun taking a million selfies during her play date with Lexi, Jude and Frankie:
Ed was making Wes coo and smile up a storm. Everyone just loves when he's home:
Although Wes woke up super early on Thursday, he sure was full of smiles:
The kids were all in such great moods and even posed so sweetly for a few pictures (with bribery of a play date at the Rices and half of a thin mint for T):
(Aren't they just the sweetest???)
We went to Aunt In-Zee's and Iss' to help make an ice cream cone pinata for Isla's second birthday party. The girls played so nicely together while the babies slept that we kind of forgot there were kids in the house; which was super nice! Once the babies woke up Isla helped swaddle Ev and wouldn't leave her future boyfriend's side- super fun play date, per usual:
We did some tummy time and took selfies Friday morning:
(T's last bubba pic...I'll explain in a minute!!)
Sleepy head, Ev, finally joined us and hung out in her boppy next to baby bro. Evie must've been pooped because she didn't last very long at all:
Tenley's bubba (pacifier) never bothered Ed and I. She has always been a very cranky/demanding baby/toddler so it has been an absolute lifesaver, to say the least. Needless to say, Tenley has quite the obsession with her beloved bubba. I can only count the number of times that she's fallen asleep without it on one hand. We tried to take it from her when she was around 2 years old, but she just screamed and cried and would not nap so we didn't try any further. Like I said, it doesn't bother us, although others seem to mind. Tenley has became extremely obsessed with the Disney Princesses, especially Ariel and Cinderella, but mostly "Na May" (The Little Mermaid). It's literally the first and last thing she asks for everyday. On Friday I started to tell her how Ariel and the Princesses didn't use bubbas because they were big girls, then at nap time we both climbed into bed and I noticed she didn't have a bubba in her mouth so I went with it. I grabbed her and held her close and made sure she was comforted enough by me and sure enough she cozied up to me and didn't even ask me for her bubba. In about 5 minutes I heard her sawing logs and was stunned. I peeked down at her mouth just to make sure she didn't pull a bubba out of her sleeve or something, but she didn't!! First time she willingly fell asleep without her bubba:
Tenley napped for about 3 hours and I was on cloud nine! To top off my ah-mazing day, Ed came home from work with this bad boy:
(Seriously...is it Christmas or something?! Gahhhhhh!!)
I did some grocery shopping at Trader Joe's that night and got T some strawberry Greek yogurt since she loves the Oikos Greek yogurt; which doesn't give her hives, but she broke out in hives before bed. Sure enough the Trader Joe's Greek yogurt is made in Cali so we may have solved the hive mystery.
That night we put Tenley to bed without her bubba even though she did ask for it a few times. She whined for about 20 minutes, but ended up falling asleep and woke up in a great mood:
We had two packages arrive Saturday morning and I must say, they were great surprises! Amy sent me thee cutest Nemo ("our" movie) coffee mug:
(Thanks, Amy!! You know I'll be getting my use out of this!!)
Grammy sent Tenley summery Princess jammies and OMG was girlfriend excited:
(Thanks, Grammy!!)
Saturday afternoon, we went to the cutest 2 year olds birthday party- ISLA!! We had such a blast at her Ice Cream Social. Lindsay sure knows how to throw a party...everything was perfect!! Tenley had so much fun bouncing around in Isla's new bounce house and whacking the ice cream cone pinata. It was a perfect party for a perfect little girl:
(Happy birthday, Iss!! We love you so much peanut!!)
I envied admired Wessie Boys eyelashes:
Of course, Tenley wore a pair of her newest Princess jammies and was super stoked about it (and needed to take some silly selfies to prove it):
Canvas on Demand was having a phenomenal deal on 16x20 canvases (78% off!) so I added to the shelf Mason made me and added some pics to the twin's nursery:
The last day of the week had arrived and STILL NO BUBBA!! This picture pretty much sums up how excited we are about how easy the transition has been for everyone:
Sissy was excited:
Even Pearl was excited:
It makes me sad to think that I'll never see her with that ugly bubba in her mouth anymore or see that cheesy smile peeking out from behind the plastic. It means my little Tenley is growing up and there's nothing I can do to stop it. I'm so proud of how she handled this milestone. I couldn't be happier to be her momma:
Until next week! :)
