Monday started off great because we got to FaceTime with the adorable Robbins crew:
The adorableness didn't stop there! The twins are such flirts these days...Wes is always smiling up a storm and Ev has totally perfected the sweet and innocent look:
Tenley knows how to use the iPad better than the average adult. She can now purchase things on it; which has become rather problematic, especially when we found her sitting on her beanbag in her room watching the newly purchased R. Kelly 'I'm a Flirt' video (really, kid?!?!). Besides spending money on rap videos and The Little Mermaid soundtrack, her favorite thing to do is FaceTime Grandma:
The verdict is in...the Vitamix is the ish. Lindsay let me borrow theirs to compare it to the KitchenAid blender and I am now a Vitamix believer. Now, I just need to sell my arms to afford this beast:
Tenley babysat while Ed and I cleaned up:
Tenley woke up on Tuesday with hives on the right side of her face. I gave her Benadryl right away and they went away within 10 minutes. These hives totally had me stumped:
The babies woke up pretty cranky on Tuesday, by their standards anyways. They just wanted to be swaddled and held. Ev finally napped after being rocked for awhile, but Wes stayed awake the entire day:
While I tended to hives and cranky babies, Ed finally went to GMC to get a car that could fit us all safely. We dreamed of getting a Yukon XL, but ended up getting an Acadia and we absolutely love it. It has 2-2-3 seating and is very spacious. My favorite feature is the backup camera and remote start for those hot summer days. Ed sure knows how to keep me happy- I love it:
While Ed was finishing up at the dealership, I gave the twins a bath and put them to bed. Then, while giving T a bath I noticed that the hives came back on the left side of her face this time (what the heck!):
Tenley woke up on Wednesday to the new Frozen DVD and she was so excited. She made me put the "ooey" in right away so her and Pearl could watch it:
The Venturino girls came over and the girls danced to 'Let it Go' and played up a storm:
The kids were super sleepy from their fun morning and no one wanted to wake up to go to the twins 2 month well-check:
Whenever we walk into the Pediatrician's office Tenley screams "SUCK-A!! SUCK-A!!" so, obvi, she always gets one. Everyone in the office knows she's a loose cannon and kind of lets her do her thing so we can tend to the twins (they're the best!). The twins are developing right on schedule and had no reaction to their shots. I showed Dr. Vu pictures of T's hives and told him about when they were happening and he said it was a food allergy. So now we just have to figure out what she's allergic to. All 'n all, it was a good visit:
Ev rocked one of my favorite shirts of Tenley's:
We had a play date at Karina's and on my way there I caught Moose Man checkin' himself out in his mirror. He is seriously always smiling:
The twins slept while the girls played and talked to the chickens. Tenley kept saying, "hi chick-kens!" As always, everyone had a good time and napped good after:
Tenley woke up from her nap with the worst hives she's had all week:
The only thing she had that day that could've possibly caused the hives was a sip of my smoothie while we were at Karina's. We stocked up on frozen fruit from Costco and among those fruits were strawberries. Ed was allergic to California strawberries as a child and I noticed that the strawberries we bought were from California. Since the hives don't bother her, I'm going to give her a few days to get whatever it was out of her system, then give her the strawberries again to see. She's had strawberries so many times, but I've never looked to see if they were from California or not. I'll keep you posted!
I admired Moose's eyelashes as we cuddled:
With all my kiddos being sick and the Rice's going to Hawaii (jealoussssss), it had been ages since we had seen them. Tenley was so excited for our play date with them that she waited by the door saying "Iss! Iss! In-Zee! In-Zee!" The girls played so nicely together and were just their adorable selves:
(Ahhhhhh!! I so missed watching these two play together!!)
Linds brought us home chocolate covered macadamias from Hawaii and OMG were they the bomb.com. I literally ate the whole bag by 5pm; which is something I definitely should not be bragging about, but seriously where can I buy these:
She also got the kids thee cutest Hawaiian outfits. Like, seriously...how freakin' adorable are these:
(Thanks, Linds, Mase and Isla!! I can NOT wait to see the kids in those outfits...Luau soon?!)
The twins looked cute as could be while playing on their play mat:
I went to Francesca's Bridal Shower Brunch Saturday morning and it was a blast!
After being gone all morning and afternoon, the kids were really happy to have me home:
(Is she for real with those curls?)
