I forgot how quickly babies grow up...multiply that by 2 and WOW. The twins are already a quarter of a year old and changing daily.

Luckily, my sweet little Evie Cakes is staying teeny (well to the family with big babies, she is quite the peanut) so I still feel like I have a baby. Cakey is in the 90th percentile for height and 50th percentile for weight- long and lean. She is so calm and never has a care in the world. She loves to "talk" and speaks so softly. When she is nursing she likes to take breaks to look up at me to smile and coo a.k.a. melt my heart. Her smile is so bright that I always feel like it's reaching my soul...I'm telling you, she has this effect on everyone! Besides being the sweetest little thing to ever live, she loves tummy time and can roll over while on her tummy. She can't roll over while on her back yet, but is very close. She is constantly sucking on her bottom lip. You will likely hear her cry if she's in her car seat...absolutely hates it, unless I am sitting in the back with her. Fortunately for us, the car seat seems to be her only bug-a-boo. I don't know what we'd do without this sweetie pie in our lives.

Talk about opposites...Moose Man is a whole nother story and teeny is definitely not a word used to describe my solid, hunk of love. Wes is in the 90th percentile for height and 90th percentile for weight (following in Tenley's footsteps). He is a bit more high-strung and gets a little antsy when he doesn't get what he wants when he wants it. I've never met anyone more ticklish then him. If you tickle his shoulders or thighs he will squeal like a little piggy and it is just the cutest thing. Moosey is so strong that he has been able to roll over on both sides for awhile now and is a real pro by now. You can't leave your eye off of him because he can get around the room by rolling around and scooting. We're working on his sitting skills and he is getting good at sitting in his boppy by himself. He is constantly gnawing on his fingers and often trying to shove his entire hand into his mouth. The pediatrician said he is teething like a "mad man" and that he could see "golden caps" so poor baby is teething badly already; which hopefully explains why his personality has been resembling his biggest sister recently. Let's hope it's just the teeth and that he'll be back to his sweet, flirty self soon. Either way, we still love you Moosey!
It seems like they've both graduated to such "big kid" things this month, like their highchairs and bouncers. They both love to sit in their highchairs and watch everyone eat dinner. (Crazy to think that they'll be able to have solids in 2 months, if they're interested.) They also love their bouncers. Moose Man is so tall that we already had to move his bouncer up a notch and he can already spin all the way around in it, while Ev just loves to do squats in hers. They can both hold their toys now, but prefer their hands over teethers.
It seems like just yesterday I was waddling from the couch to the bathroom every 5 minutes, wondering which bathroom trip would put me into labor and now I have two four month old babies. Why does time go so fast? I just wish I could put life in slow motion and soak it all in...the kisses, the snuggles, the cries, everything!
Please stay little forever. I never want these days to end. There's nothing like having a baby (or TWO!!).
Happy four month birthday, Everly and Wesley!!
