My mom sent me a picture of a handmade Mother's Day card that I made for her many, many years ago and it had me cracking up:
I don't know if I get my poetic skills from my mom or not, but I know I get my drive, determination, strength, courage, bravery and so much more from her. It is because of her that I had the courage to put myself out there and apply to college at UNLV and be the first in our family to graduate. Everything I do is in the hopes that it will make her proud, just as I'm proud of her for being the mom that she is. She really is my best friend:
Well, I guess I know one of my mom's secrets to raising my brothers and I- my grammy and aunts:
As if having one mom isn't good enough, I married into an amazing family and was blessed with a saint of a mother-in-law. I really don't know what I would do without her sound advice and constant support. She is just the sweetest:
Now I have the joy of being a mother to not only one child, but THREE! It's crazy to think that just last year I only had Tenley to celebrate with and now I have Tenley, Everly and Wesley. My, oh my, how much things can change in just one year.
Ed and Tenley made my favorite breakfast- French toast, then the kids did tummy time and got dressed in their obnoxious clothes ("Sweet Like Mommy" & "Mommy's Little Dude"...perfect, right?!):
Then, we headed to the Bellagio Conservatory to check out the beautiful Spring flower display:
I was in a bit of a funk from missing my family in Ohio so getting out and smelling the flowers with my little family was exactly what I needed. I am beyond blessed to have three children to call my own. Being a mother has been the hardest and most demanding job I've ever taken on, but it has also been the most rewarding. The love for my crazy cute kiddos grows deeper everyday and is something I can't even begin to put into words. I may not always be the perfect mom, but God gave me these three perfect kids for a reason and I do my best.
"If you think my hands are full,
you should see my heart."
Happy {super} Mother's Day to all you fabulous momma's out there!!
