Remember how we started potty training yesterday? Wellllll, we're still running with it and woke up all smiles on Monday morning:
Not only did Tenley pee in the potty, but she also perfected tandem nursing twins:
Things started to get a little weird during nap time...Wes had been clingy all day, but decided he would only nap on my chest; which made it really hard for potty training:
Surprisingly Tenley already had the whole "peeing on the potty" thing down in a day, but pooping on the potty was a whole other story. She just kept pooping in her big girl panties (3 times!!!) and then telling me; which made for a big mess; which was just a lot of work with two babies to also take care of. Moose got so sick of it that he just passed out on the couch:
He had such a rough day that he was attached to me all night:
I was determined to have a less "shitty" day so Tenley was stuck sitting on the potty a lot on Tuesday and she wasn't too happy about it:
Wes and Ev weren't too thrilled about Tenley hogging all of my time either so we improvised and hung out in the bathroom a lot; which led to a successful day without any pee accidents (GO TENLEY!):
All the ABC singing, number counting and book reading put the twins to sleep:
My big girl helped give the twins a bath:
Ev was looking oh so sweet as she laid on her blanket that Auntie Lindsay made her so it naturally turned into a photo session (this happens a lot with her):
After her quick photo sesh, she giggled in her monkey mirror while I snapped more pics:
Tenley showed off her adorable curls while hiding underneath her stuffed friends:
The little babes were pooped from all this potty training biz; which was going swimmingly, by the way:
The twins tried playing on the play mat, but Tenley decided to use them as props for learning how to arrange objects from 'smallest to largest':
The twins turned 4 months old on Thursday!!
The babes played for a bit Friday morning, then took a quick catnap:
We met Linds, Karina, Whitney and our crew of kiddos at Reunion Trails (Tenley's first outing without a diaper...ahhhhh!!) and everyone had so much fun!! Tenley loved having boys to play with and Ev loved sleeping on Whit the entire time. Park dates truly would not be possible without such awesome girls that are so helpful with my massive crew, especially now that potty breaks are involved (did I mention Tenley peed in the Park's bathroom? Oh yeah, BIG GIRL status!). What a fun AND successful morning:
When we got home, Tenley played the guitar in her panties while Ev slept soundly:
Since Tenley did so well without a diaper at the park, we decided to take her to Town Square to play and she did great there, too! We were so proud of her for peeing in their bathroom twice while having so much to distract her at their playground area. She had a blast playing and we kind of watched her play with tears in our eyes as we realized that she was truly a "big girl":
(While taking this picture a bird pooped in my hair...I hear that's good luck, but still!)
(Tenley was OBSESSED with this little girl! They played "Frozen" and Tenley was Elsa. They were running around like crazy and Tenley cried when she had to say "goodbye!" They were so stinking cute!)
Saturday morning started off as a lazy day consisting of play mats, bouncers and nursing cuddle sessions:
(Oh, Evie...)
Then, we got bored and hit up the splash pad:
Pearl had a busy day at the groomers and looked so good when I picked her up:
Moose Man was pooped from all the running around that he took a long nap and looked mighty cute while doing so:
I had a great Mother's Day with my amazing little family and have so many things to be grateful for, but this week I am definitely most grateful to almost being done buying diapers for one less child!! We're so proud of you Tenley Bear...you're such a big girl!!
Until next time! :)
