The kids and I met Grammy and Pop-Pop at The District for breakfast at Rachel's Kitchen, shopping and some splash pad fun:
Wes took a long nap on Grammy when we got home:
My father-in-law really wanted to go see The Linq while they were in town, so when Ed got home from work we piled all the kids in the car and met my in-laws down on The Strip. I still can't get over how big the ferris wheel is every time I see it; after all it is the tallest in the world. I had really been looking forward to going, too, because I wanted to see 'Brooklyn Bowl' since that is the place in The Linq that Ed did all the HVAC in. I think it's so cool that he can walk on The Strip when the kids are older and say, "your dad helped build that." It makes me so proud of him! The area on The Strip isn't very large, but it is very nice. Definitely a must see:
We planned on going to the pool on Tuesday, but Mother Nature had other plans for us because the winds were horrible so Grammy and Pop-Pop came over instead:
Since it was windy, Grammy and Pop-Pop decided it would be a perfect day to take Tenley to see 'Rio 2' and she had so much fun watching the movie with them (and Princess Teddy, of course):
While sissy was at the movies, the twins had fun playing and learned how to hold their rattles:
The twins got in some play time Wednesday morning while waiting for Grammy and Pop-Pop to arrive before we headed out to do some toy shopping:
While shopping, Tenley and Princess Teddy wanted to test everything out since Ev and Wes weren't very into it:
After shopping, Wes took a nap in his favorite place- Grammy's arms:
Tenley helped Pop-Pop and I put together the twin's jumper and they loved it. All the bouncing and new things really exhausted them, too:
(Thanks for the new toys, Grammy & Pop-Pop!!)
The twins had a blast on their new jumbo play mat Thursday morning. It gives them so much more room and now they love doing tummy time because they actually have room to move. This thing is perfect for twins:
Pop-Pop bought Tenley some sprinkled donuts from Dunkin Donuts just incase she happened to be a good girl and for some reason she was being pretty rotten this week. Needless to say, the donuts got pretty hard so I had thrown them away. Sure enough, that little nugget found them in the trash can and I found her like this:
(I mean, there's no stopping it at this point, right?!)
Oddly enough, the sprinkles made her mighty chipper:
Wes wasn't taking bottles from Grammy all week; which had me superrrr worried about the wedding festivities. Ed stopped by Babies R Us and bought a latex nipple before the rehearsal dinner and Wes finally took a bottle from Grammy and Ev was her typical angel-baby self:
I knew that my babies were in great hands, obviously, but now knowing that they would be eating just fine I was finally able to relax at Frannie and Matt's Rehearsal Dinner (and have that margarita I've been craving for an entire year!):
Ed must've been feeling sentimental because I woke up to this sweet note Friday morning:
I played with the kiddos and ate a good breakfast before heading to The Vdara to get pampered for the Gerfy wedding:
My mother-in-law sent me pics throughout the day so I wouldn't miss the kids too horribly:
The Gerfy wedding was absolutely perfect and Ed and I had such a blast celebrating the start of our friends beautiful marriage together.
Unfortunately, my in-laws headed back to Ohio early Saturday afternoon and as always we were so sad to see them go. Each time they come it gets harder and harder to say goodbye, especially now that Tenley asks for them non-stop, looks out the window for their car, associates an airplane with them coming to play...it's just heartbreaking. We all love them so, so much. Even though they'll only be here for 2 days, we're looking forward to their quick visit in 4 weeks!! See you soon, Mom & Dad!!
It was back to the circus life for Ed and I...babies everywhere, toys everywhere and non-stop chaos (we wouldn't have it any other way):
I left the twins for 1 second to go check on dinner...1 second I leave them holding hands and come back to find that Moose Man went into beast mode and rolled onto his belly for the first time:
(Don't worry, I will get it on film...)
Evie sat in her high chair for the first time and sissy showed her how to spin her toys:
The kids woke up in a great mood on Sunday and Wes really had a blast in the new jumper Grammy and Pop-Pop bought him:
We ran some errands and Evie had some fun with Daddy while I put Wes into a milk coma:
Tenley joined in on tummy time with the twins while Daddy hung up my new frames:
(I could watch these three play together ALL day!!)
What a busy/fun week...until next time! :)
