We met the fam at the M pool for a dip before GiGi, Aunt Jan, Aunt Sue, Amanda and Alyssa were back off to Ohio (we're so glad we got to see you all!! Love and miss you all already!!):
That afternoon Ed and I took Tenley to check out a preschool down the street and she absolutely loved it. She immediately sat down and started flipping through the pages of The Lion King and made her way over to the play kitchen. She felt right at home and did not want to leave. In fact, she even cried when we made her leave. She'll be going for 2 hours, twice a week and I'm praying it will be an easy transition for her. Her first day is September 8th so I'll keep you posted, but in the mean time say a little prayer for her!
We spent Tuesday morning relaxing and reading books to the babes:
Grammy and Pop-Pop took Tenley to see the new Planes movie that afternoon and she loved it. She says, "I go see Dussy taday with Poppy and Gram?" at least once a day:
After the movie, we spent the rest of the day hanging out at home with the fam:
We got ready to go to the M pool Wednesday morning and I couldn't get over how old Tenley looked...such a lil' beauty:
We met my in-laws, Linds and Karina at the M and had a blast playing in the water for hours with all the kiddos:
Ev napped for 4 hours when we got home and Wes was so tired that he was in a total daze:
The twins finally woke up a bit and played with their counting dinosaur:
I bought Moose Man thee most appropriate PJs the other day and he looked oh so adorable in his moose jammies:
Ev slept in pretty late and when she woke up Tenley was so excited to see her that she was hugging and kissing on her like no other. All of a sudden Tenley put her finger in Ev's mouth and said, "Iggy gots da nother toof, mom-mee!":
The babies are crawling everywhere and always going in opposite directions:
We took the babies 6 month photos at Mount Charleston; which turned into 7 month photos, and we stopped at Elsa and Anna's Castle The Lodge for a potty break and Tenley loved all the scenery:
Our pictures went great and I know we got some great shots (I'll be sure to share them later), especially since I bribed Tenley with a Little Mermaid dress I scooped up at Costco last week:
As soon as Tenley woke up Friday morning she asked to wear her Namay dress and take pic-a-tures:
While Evie took a morning nap, Tenley and Wesley had a tea party:
The kids napped and hung out with Grammy and Pop-Pop:
My father-in-law loves Lucille's BBQ (I mean, who doesn't?) so we took the twins there for their first dining experience since Lucille's is always pretty quick. The babes were good and my big boy kept grabbing my sweet rolls and shoving them into his mouth. It was a great dinner:
After dinner we went to the Silverton Casino to see the mermaid show:
The twins turned 7 months old on Friday and Tenley took turns entertaining the twins while we took their monthly photos:
We went swimming with Grammy and Pop-Pop at Sunset Station Saturday morning:
The kids were exhausted from swimming all morning and took long naps. Once everyone woke up, we all got ready to go to my brother-in-laws for dinner:
Grammy and Pop-Pop came over Sunday morning to play for a bit before they had to catch their flight back to Ohio:
We sure are going to miss having them around and I can't believe that the next time we see them will be to celebrate Tenley's 3rd birthday!!
(Love and miss you both already!!)
Moose and I played in Tenley's Princess tunnel while everyone else napped:
Wes chomped on avocados for din din while sissy played around with a mum mum:
Until next time! :)
