Tenley has been obsessed with Belle and the Beast ever since she saw the commercial on the Disney channel where the little girl goes to the 'Be Our Guest Restaurant' at Disney World and dances with Belle. Everyday she tells me how she is going to dance with the Beast. Girlfriend places Belle on her Little People castle all day so she can sing with her:
Even Wes joined in on the Princess fun and cheered sissy on:
Evie woke up from her morning nap and assisted brother in knocking down the blocks that sissy stacked ever so neatly; which infuriated her OCD self. Since Ev and Wes were playing with the blocks in the way that blocks are intended to be played with (stacked up and knocked down, not lined up neatly with all the colors facing up), Tenley quickly gave up and started to smother the babies with cuddles:
(Don't worry she knows how to lift the babies gently and set them back down gently- I promise!)
Evie continues to dominate on her activity table:
I went to return something at the Disney store, but they wouldn't give me money back since I forgot Ed's card so I used the credit to buy Tenley a Princess suitcase for Disneyland (even though she's been a real butthead recently):
Tenley and Ed were both still coughing non-stop and Wes decided to wake up at 10pm to nurse when Ed was hit with a coughing fit; which totally reset Wes' sleep clock. He was up and thought it was time to party...until 3am. I needed a break from rocking him and caught him sitting up in his crib:
As if the night wasn't rough enough for me, Ev woke up at 5am. She took an early nap and just as I snuggled up in bed to go back to sleep Wes woke up. After playing with him for a bit, he insisted on being rocked to sleep:
(Once he fell asleep the big boss woke up...it's a never ending/exhausting cycle around here.)
Grandma Cath sent Tenley some goodies for Disneyland and she was so excited. Naturally, she had to try on the Ariel outfit right away:
(Thanks, mom!! We love you!!)
We twins woke up early, again, Wednesday morning. They played nicely together until sister woke up, then they bombarded her room with Pearl:
I finally got all the kiddos to nap at the same time (or in Tenley's case lay really still and pretend for 40 minutes) so I spent my much needed alone time watching Pretty Little Liars while sipping coffee and listening to it pour outside:
It's very rare that rain ever lasts for more than 10 minutes, but it seemed to last all afternoon. Our backyard flooded and the wash behind our house looked like a rapid river:
Ev & Wes are both getting 2 teeth so they've been partying all night and up before the sun and Thursday was no exception...up at 4:30am and ready for mommy to play:
Being up at 4:30am means I'm putting babies down for naps by 5:30am:
(I try to tell these kids that if they slept in they wouldn't be so cranky and need to nap so quickly, but what do I know, right?!)
The twins were at it, again, before sister even woke up. Making a mess, as always:
(Look at all that pink!! Poor Wes...)
Since Tenley hasn't been napping, she's been sleeping past 8am so she was in a good mood when she finally woke up and was even more excited when she saw that it was storming and had to open the door so her and sissy could hear it:
Since Tenley refused to nap, I decided to get her bath out of the way and the twins tried joining her:
While I cooked dinner with my helper, Ed finally got around to lowering the twin's cribs with his crazy helpers:
Since Ed went to the doctor and found out that his nasty cough was due to allergies we figured Tenley's had to be the same thing so I set up a play date with Linds at Hidden Falls for Friday morning because we were going stir crazy and missed our friends:
The park tired the twins out and they slept so peacefully in their lowered cribs (tear), but not Tenley...I swear, this chick is nuts:
Once the twins woke up, Wes practiced trying to stand and Ev played with Violet:
The kids lined up to FaceTime with Grammy & Pop-Pop:
While getting ready to leave the house Saturday morning we noticed that Wes outgrew his infant car seat...Big boy's head was touching the top:
We met my friend, Jessica (who has beautiful 6 month old identical twin girls), at Mission Hills park. Tenley had fun playing with Daddy and even went down the big slide all by herself after going down with Daddy a few times. It's so nice to talk to someone who can relate to "twin life" because it is SO hard and isn't as easy as it looks in pictures (because who takes pictures of tantrums, crying fits and nightly feedings??). Anyways, we'll be having plenty more play dates because Wes likes the girls (and so does Ev):
Ev did not want to go to bed Saturday night so she hung out with us in the living room and Tenley said, "I woky Iggy to seep." so we let her give it a try:
Early rising again on Sunday...little munches wanted to play with their abacus cube and Pearl:
We upgraded the twins to these awesome Chicco NextFit car seats and they seem to love them:
(My babies are getting too big too fast...)
After running errands, Wes put up quite the fight for his nap, but sleep/Daddy finally won:
Speaking of sleep winning...Tenley took her first nap in what seemed like a month and she woke up in an amazing mood (and asking to go see NaMay):
This week has been so physically and emotionally exhausting. Some days all I wanted was a good hug, but this is what got me by:
I'm hoping next week will be better for us!! Either way...
8 MORE DAYS UNTIL DISNEYLAND!!
