We had a lazy Monday (because those are the best Mondays) and Tenley picked out the girl's outfits to lounge around in:
The rest of the Chiesa crew safely arrived in Vegas Monday evening so you bet your sweet ass we had a play date planned for Tuesday morning! We met them at the splash pad bright and early and were so stinking excited. It's going to take awhile for me to realize that playdates with them are our new norm:
(Is this real life?!)
Wednesday was moving day for the Chiesas so the kids and I entertained them all day and had so much fun! At one point Tenley said to me, "Mom, I'm actually surprised at how well you are babysitting us all!" Thanks for your confidence, Tenley! I have a feeling there will be many more days like this in the future:
When I left for work later, Ed and the kids worked on our new coffee table:
We met the Medranos at The District to play at the splash pad and have lunch together. Because of school, the kids haven't seen each other in a long time and they were so excited to hang out for the morning:
Ed and I had a night out with the Pure Barre Fam Thursday evening to celebrate Victoria's big move. Good luck, Tor! We sure are going to miss you:
Ev was exhausted Friday morning and had to be woken up:
Ev has been begging to go to a "ball place" for weeks so we made plans with Lindsay to meet at Fun Lane Friday morning. I started to get worried when she stood me up and my nervous Nelly self called her 50 times. Just as I was about to call her mom to make sure she didn't die she called me. She was giggling and said, "I just had the baby." I legit started screaming at the ball place and Tenley started freaking out, too. I called Ed and was crying, Tenley started collecting plastic food to bring to Lindsay...we were a little excited! Thank God they had Father's Day crafts and cooking stations to keep our minds off of baby Crosby because we wanted to see him so bad:
Before heading to work, I snuck away to go see Cros and I was in Heaven! He is such a little delight:
Saturday was a big day for me...I taught my first Pure Barre Intensive- Slenderize Your Outer Thighs. It was a lot of work, but oh so fun! I loved hearing the groans around the room from the very beginning, but then seeing the smiling faces once the 75 minutes ended:
When I got home, Tenley greeted me at the door with flowers. When I asked Ed what they were for he said, "because I know you kicked ass today":
Then, Tenley and I were off to her very last dance class of the season:
The kids were super sweet on Ed all weekend as Father's Day approached. Seeing him as a Dad (the BEST dad might I add) just makes my heart skip a beat. What he gives these children emotionally is priceless and we're so lucky:
I was so bummed I had to work on Father's Day! Ed let me sleep in on Mother's Day and brought me breakfast in bed and I had to wake him up so I could go teach on Father's Day. I felt awful, but he was excited to work on the table with the kids for a bit:
When I got done teaching we packed up the kids and food, then headed to the Chiesas. We spent the day playing in the pool with the kids and BBQ'in on the grill:
The kids were exhausted and Ev even napped, but woke up just in time for cheesecake and root beer floats:
Happy Father's Day to all the amazing Dads out there, but most importantly Happy Father's Day to Ed! Thank you for showing our kids how to love unconditionally and always giving everything 110%! We are so glad you are ours!
Until next time! :)
