Since Monday was Memorial Day and Ed and I both had the day off, we took the kids to The Westin to swim. This was the first time Ed got to see the kids swim and he was blown away with how well they were swimming. We had the best day we've had in a long time! The kids screamed, "BEST. DAY. EVER." as they went down the water slide; which made it even more perfect:
And, of course, we had to cap off our day with slushies:
The kids slept amazing Monday night and I actually had to wake Tenley up for her final day at Miss Marsha's. To me, she still looked like my little babe:
All of the kids had school on Tuesday to rehearse for their school program the following day. The kids have grown and learned so much this year! It was so sad to get them ready for the day knowing that everything would be SO different in the Fall (but let's be real...I was extremely excited to have 2 hours all to myself):

Wednesday was the kid's 'We Love The U.S.A.' Program and Tenley was beyond excited:
Tenley looked so big on stage! The thing that amazes me most about her is not that she knew every single word, every answer, every song and said her part perfectly because I know she is very bright, but it's the sheer confidence that she exudes! That is something you can not teach and she has so much confidence that it is blinding. She walked onto stage like she was the only one there and it made my heart so proud:
I didn't expect much from Everly and Wesley since they are only 3 and still learning so much, but I was so proud of Wes for NOT crying and actually standing up on stage throughout the entire performance. I knew Ev was going to be shy, but was surprised to see her nervous ticks kick in: 1) biting her bottom lip and 2) picking her nose. At this age, it's just fun for them so we just laughed:
Their Program was all about respecting our Country, it's leaders and land. The kids learned so much about the Presidents, Landmarks and being proud to be an American:
We are so proud of all three kids and are blessed to have these amazing teachers help mold our children. Tenley sure is going to miss them next year:
We celebrated school being done with lunch at The District:
The kids got a package in the mail from Grandma Cath and were so excited:
(Thanks, Ma!! We can't wait to see you soon! Love you!!)
We watched Game 1 of The Finals with my in-laws Thursday evening and although the Cavs didn't win we sure enjoyed watching the game with Grammy and Pop Pop:
We spent Friday morning at The Westin with Grammy and Pop Pop and the kids had a blast showing them their swimming skills:
The girls had dance Saturday morning and practiced for their recitals most of the time:
Ed went golfing with Carll Sunday morning while the kids and I cooled off in the backyard:
We spent the rest of the day going through toys and making donation piles. Wes was such a good helper and helped me pack 3 bags of toys to donate (not his tools, of course!):
What a busy week! We are so sad that Grammy and Pop Pop are gone and the twins still don't quite understand that they're home yet, but we're keeping busy by counting down the days until our next (permanent) visitors...Amy, Alex and Luke!!
Until next week! :)
