Ev & Wes: 8 Month Recap

Seriously, could they get any sweeter? I don't think it's possible. It's so incredibly sad how quickly these two are growing up. I mean, 8 months! Already? It doesn't seem real.

We thank God every day for giving us Evie or as we call her, "the good child". She is totally the quiet "middle child", but there is no forgetting her because she is just the sweetest little thing. She has a way of being so quiet, but smiling so loudly that your insides will be flooded with a million butterflies. Ugh, she is just the sweetest. Her hair has been coming in a lot recently and as it fills in it is getting very fuzzy; which is absolutely adorable. She is very strong and loves to stand and lean against furniture or toys. She especially loves to stand at her activity table and abacus cube. Sometimes she lowers herself down to the sitting position after standing for awhile, but most of the time she forgets how to do it and will stand foreverrrr, then will whimper when she wants someone to come put her in the sitting position. Not only can she pull herself up on anything and everything, but I caught that girl pulling herself up on her walker and inching her way across the living room until she wobbled over. She is obsessed with playing "hide 'n seek" with momma. I swear it's not a typical day around the house unless I'm saying, "Ev???? Where's Ev, Tenley?!" You really have to keep an eye on the silent ones.

Weight:  21 lbs 4 oz (Birth: 7 lbs 15 oz)
Height:  29.5 in (Birth: 21.25 in)
Clothing Size: 12 month
Diaper Size: 4

Then there's this boy... Whoever said boys were easier is a liar. I swear, I can't count the number of bruises on this boy. He is such a daredevil. One second he's in the fireplace, then the next he's climbing on toys to get on the couch and swan dive off. He crawls on all fours now so he's very fast. He loves to bang toys together and always be as loud as possible. He started standing in his crib when he wakes up and banging his hands on his sisters rail. He can also pull himself up onto anything and stand for long periods of time, but he lowers himself down onto his booty whenever he wants to move onto another thing. Besides using his sister's high heels as teethers there's no mistaking that he's all boy. Well, besides the fact he has major separation anxiety and cries like a little girl if you try to leave his sight for a slight second. And believe me his cry and pouty face is absolutely undeniable. Gets me every time.

The babes have had a busy month! From their first beach experience and first Disneyland vacation to lowered cribs and convertible car seats. They're growing at an alarming rate and moving a little more than I'd like.  Watching these two grow together and bond with their big sister is truly such a blessing. I'm so lucky to be their mommy!

Happy 8 month birthday, Everly and Wesley!!

(These pictures are NOT easy to take. For example, after this picture my daredevil Wes decided to swan dive off the chair, thus smacking his eye on my camera lens. AY YI YI!!)
