Wes must've been exhausted because he didn't wake up the entire night, however he was ready to party at 6:30am. Ev, on the other hand, woke up every 3 hours or so, because I think she was lonely in the pack-and-play (or suffering from hypothermia because it was fa-ree-zing in our room). Ed took Wes for a morning walk to pick up some breakfast for everyone while I cuddled with Ev and we ended up sleeping until Tenley woke us up at 8:45am. I got to sleep until 8:45am...say what?? Is it my birthday or something? Nope, just Ed's 30th birthday and he let me sleep in. Have I told you how much I loved being on vacation yet?! OMG sooo much.
When us lazy girls finally kicked our butts into gear we got ready for our big day at the parks and by that I mean lunch at Ariel's Grotta! The girls could NOT have looked any sweeter in their mermaid dresses (oh, and you know Wessie boy was looking cute, too!):
Since Ariel's Grotto is in Disney's California Adventure we started off there and decided to hit up a few rides before making our way to lunch:
We headed towards A Bug's Land and saw Mickey on the trolley:
While the twins took a quick nap we enjoyed our views of the Paradise Pier before heading into our most awaited adventure of the trip- Ariel's Grotto:
After talking about getting to see Belle for weeks, Tenley finally got to give Belle a big hug:
Wes tried blowing Princess Tiana kisses:
One of my most favorite moments from the trip is when Cinderella (my favorite Princess growing up) was introduced...she absolutely lost it. I mean, she went nuts! Everyone was looking at her, laughing and taking pictures. The look on her face was just priceless:
She was so star struck that she couldn't talk to her. Even I had to get in there for a pic with my favorite childhood Princess:
After an amazing lunch of barbecue tri-tip, mashed potatoes and veggies I nursed Wes to sleep, then handed him off to Ed so I could nurse Ev in the Ergo and put her to sleep, too:
The babes slept through desert and we made our way to Mickey's Fun Wheel since it was the only ride left that we had on our list of musts at Disney's California Adventure. The twins woke up just in time and were so excited. Everyone was excited to see all the views of the park:
After Mickey's Fun Wheel we ran into Buzz Lightyear:
Speaking of running into people, on the way out of the park we ran into Mickey and Pluto (Tenley's latest obsession). For once, Wes wasn't scared of the characters! He loved Mickey and especially loved when Mickey gave him kisses and tickled his cheeks with his big nose. What a great crew to run into:
We went into my favorite store in the parks, "Big Top Toys", to stock up on some Christmas presents and Tenley found this realistic-looking sword and was running around the store trying to sword fight people while shouting, "I gitchy the bad guys!!" (by bad buys she means Jafar from Aladdin). She was going nuts and we were cracking up:
We went back to the hotel for a little break and the twins took a nap:
We made our way into Fantasyland; which was my favorite section in Disneyland and rode the "boo" Dumbo (Tenley had to sit in a blue Dumbo and still talks about the "boo Dumbo"):
Tenley rested in a stationary Dumbo while I took a break to feed the babes:
After Dumbo, we rode the Teacups; which I think were the twins favorite ride because they loved sitting with Tenley like big kids and had fun laughing with their big sis:
We found this awesome kiosk that painted your name with a theme so we ordered Tenley a Princess one for her room with some of her favorite Princesses. While ordering it, the twins ate their piggies while Tenley almost wandered off into a whales mouth:
We met the Rice Crew for the Soundsational Parade and the girls were so excited to see each other:
The girls danced and laughed like crazy before spotting the Frozen float:
Evie hung out with the birthday boy while Wesley cuddled with Pat before the parade began:
Tenley and Isla melted our hearts as they took a break from being goofballs for a few seconds:
The parade began and the girls continued to dance up a storm! Tenley got the surprise of a lifetime when her pal Pluto decided to come dance with her:
After the parade, we went to Downtown Disney to Ridemakerz (like Build a Bear, but with race cars), but Tenley was way too tired so we walked back to the hotel where she all of a sudden got reenergized and started doing somersaults in the bed:

Since Ariel's Grotto is in Disney's California Adventure we started off there and decided to hit up a few rides before making our way to lunch:
We hit up Metropolis and MU to say hi to Mike and Sulley first and the kids had a blast on that ride:
We headed towards A Bug's Land and saw Mickey on the trolley:
While making our way through A Bug's Land, Tenley rode the spinning Ladybugs with Daddy and Tuck and Roll's bumper cars with Mommy:
While the twins took a quick nap we enjoyed our views of the Paradise Pier before heading into our most awaited adventure of the trip- Ariel's Grotto:
Tenley could hardly contain herself when we walked into the restaurant since she knew Ariel was so close. I could barely get my name out for our reservation before she was rushing down the spiral staircase to see her favorite Princess of all:
Impatient Tenley could not bare waiting for the three people in front of us, but Princess Ariel loved Tenley and kept saying, "It's ok, Princess! I'll see you in just a minute!" and kept blowing her kisses. She was so sweet! When it was finally Tenley's turn Tenley all of a sudden froze and crept up to her. She gave her the most gentle hug of all, kept nodding her head and saying, "yeah!" She warmed up to her after I reminded her what she wanted to tell her. She told her how she saw Scuttle at the beach and looked for her in the ocean yesterday. She also told her about how she loved King Triton, Flounder and A-Bashy. Ariel spent so much time with Tenley and did NOT disappoint her #1 fan:
Our reservations were at the perfect time because just when we sat down they started to introduce the Princesses. First up on the Princess agenda was Rapunzel and Tenley was thrilled! They had fun dancing, making Wes laugh and cheering as they introduced Belle:

When we were relaxing in the hotel Ed pulled me close, hugged and kissed me and said, "thanks for making me do this!" He is such a hard worker that it is next to impossible to get him to take time off of work so I really don't know how I managed to get him to take off 3 whole days since he already had Monday off for Labor Day! If anyone deserves a vacation, it's that man! I'll never forget his "ah-ha" moment of realizing that family vacations are important, too! ;)
After naps we headed to Downtown Disney for a quick snack, then went to Disneyland to hit up some rides:
First, we rode Buzz Lightyear; which was one of my favs because Tenley controlled the car we were in so we were spinning like crazy and we were cracking up the whole time (although Wes was a little unsure at first):
We made our way to Sleeping Beauty's Castle and Tenley was in awe. She was so excited to be at "Rora's Cassy":
We made our way into Fantasyland; which was my favorite section in Disneyland and rode the "boo" Dumbo (Tenley had to sit in a blue Dumbo and still talks about the "boo Dumbo"):

We had some time to kill so we took silly selfies with the girls:
The girls danced and laughed like crazy before spotting the Frozen float:
Evie hung out with the birthday boy while Wesley cuddled with Pat before the parade began:
Tenley and Isla melted our hearts as they took a break from being goofballs for a few seconds:
(Seriously LOVE these girls!)
The parade began and the girls continued to dance up a storm! Tenley got the surprise of a lifetime when her pal Pluto decided to come dance with her:
The girls were so funny imitating every dance move they saw; they did not stop moving the entire time. We had so much fun:

I'd say this was an ah-mazing birthday for Ed! In fact, I really don't know how we will ever be able to top it. I'm glad I stuck to my guns and kept asking him to take the kids on vacation because seeing the excitement in their eyes today totally made the trip worth it and I think it made for a truly magical 30th birthday, too!
Happy 30th Birthday, Ed!!
We love you!!
