The Happiest Place On Earth

We had to get up early as we had reservations at Goofy's Kitchen at 8:55am. I thought the kids were going to be cranky, but they woke up in great moods and were all smiles and ready for our first day at the happiest place on Earth:

We stayed at The Fairfield Inn; which is directly across from Disneyland so we walked to the coolest Starbucks in Downtown Disney before heading to Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast:

We arrived at Goofy's Kitchen a few minutes early and were greeted by the Chef himself:

After Goofy seated us we were immediately greeted by Chip and Tenley was in her glory, but Wes grew more and more terrified by the second:

For some odd reason Wes was more into the Mad Hatter, although no one else was much of a fan of his:

The girls adored Pluto and his massive kisses, but Wes was even scared of him, too:

Tenley chatted it up with Dale:

Then, our morning was made when Tenley spotted Jasmine across the room and her face lit up like the moment when I laid eyes on her for the first time. We've been watching Aladdin non-stop for a few weeks now (but always fast-forwarding over Jafar a.k.a. "the bad guys") so I knew she was going to be so excited to see her. To my surprise, she completely froze up. I've never seen her so quiet in my life; she was completely star struck and Jasmine was the sweetest Princess everrr. She was telling Tenley how beautiful she was, complimenting her on her pretty jewelry and asking her about being a big sister. Tenley was over the moon:

(Look how nervous she is!!)

(Can't keep her eyes off of her!)

I must say, I had low expectations for the food at Goofy's Kitchen...I was expecting Mickey shaped pancakes that tasted like they were from the frozen aisle of Von's, but this was a buffet that had my mouth watering (and you all know I do NOT do buffets). My favorite thing was the bananas fosters crepes...yum!

Tenley did not want to leave so we told her we had to find Jasmine so she was all about that. While we got the babies fed and ready to go Tenley would not stop pacing and talking about how she "hadda fine Jamin..." Sure enough she spotted her at one of the tables through the glass and is such a charmer that Jasmine came out of Goofy's Kitchen to give her more hugs! Jasmine told her that she was going to be leaving to head to Disneyland soon and that she should look for her there with her friend Abu and Tenley agreed and was so excited about the new mission from her Princess BFF.

We were finally off to California Adventure and the babies fell asleep on the walk over so Tenley got to pick the first ride we all went on. First up...Under The Sea, of course:

We headed to Cars Land next and took Mater for a ride:

We couldn't keep Tenley away from Ariel too long and with no line girlfriend was literally dragging us there all day:

After riding "the seashells" as Tenley called it for the 387585938 time, she made Daddy carry her in the ergo while I wore Ev while she napped and pushed Wes while he napped, too:

While the kids took cat naps, Ed and I enjoyed our view as we cooled down with some yummy waffle cones:

When the kiddos woke up we all rode King Triton's Carousel; which was a huge hit with the twins:

We ran into the Rice Crew and headed to A Bug's Land and rode a ride with Linds and Isla before heading back to the hotel for naps & baths:

Tenley was happy after "cooling down" at the hotel and the babes were happy after their 10th nap of the day (how do I sign up for that job?) so we headed over to Disneyland to take the only picture of the trip that I wanted of the fam- a pic in front of the famous Mickey head with our matching Mickey ears and it couldn't have turned out better:

When we got there it was 6:45pm and the Soundsational Parade was about to begin so we headed over to see if we could get a spot and sure enough we found a spot in the very front so we couldn't pass it up! The kids were so excited:

First up was Princess Anna, Olaf and Queen Elsa; which I hear is a new addition. Tenley made sure to blow them lots of kisses:

Tenley patiently waited for the next act; which was Mickey and the whole gang:

Tenley quickly pointed out the next act- Aladdin:

Then there was the float that Tenley tried to get on- Ariel's float, of course:

Donald Duck even had his own float:

Another one of Tenley's favorites- the Princess Float with Snow White, Aurora, Rapunzel, Belle and Cinderella:

Even Simba made an appearance:

Evie liked Tiana's Float:

Tenley had an episode with Captain Hook at Goofy's Kitchen during breakfast so when she saw him coming in the parade she instantly got off the curb, hugged my leg and said, "Captain Hook no see me!" We're not fans of the man with the hook for a hand:

No worries because "faith, trust and pixie dust" it was Tinkerbell to save the day:

Last, but not least Mary Poppins ended the ah-mazing Soundsational Parade:

After the parade we headed back to California Adventure to watch The World of Color show in front of Mickey's Fun Wheel:

The show started with The World of Color introduction that lead into The Little Mermaid:

Tenley loved when she heard "Under the Sea" and when she saw Nemo and Dory:

She also loved "A Whole New World"; it was so beautiful:

My favorite was "A Friend Like Me":

After the show we headed back to the hotel for some shut eye, but our crazy kids just wanted to play and love on each other; which was total okay by us because, I mean, look at them:

2 more days of this...this truly is the happiest place on Earth!!
