REAL Moments

My favorite type of photos are ones that capture the moment... the happiness, the excitement, the joy, the REAL moments. Jasmyn always seems to capture those moments with our family so seamlessly. It's been awhile since she photographed us since she moved to Hawaii, so we were all so excited. We went back to Floyd Lamb Park, where she took the twins first birthday pictures, and were greeted by peacocks and loads of bunnies. The kids immediately grabbed lettuce and carrots and began feeding them:

Tenley was a real life Snow White and had the bunnies eating from her hand:

We found this beautiful peacock and the kids followed him all over the place until he got sick of Wes hollering at him and jumped on a roof:

The park is beautiful and had so many fallen leaves all over that it was hard to resist throwing them around:

After that, Tenley stole my lipstick for a quick touch-up:

Ev wasn't a fan of the leaf fight because she's too proper for that. She'd much rather be nuzzled into my neck; which is by far my most favorite thing ever. She nuzzles so close and wraps her soft hands so tightly. I could live in this moment that is Everly Jean all day:

(Notice the peacock on the roof??)

We made our way over to the lake to see the ducks:

Of course Daddy had to pretend to throw everyone in the lake:

My anxiety couldn't handle it and Ev was utterly mortified that Tenley was going to fall in. For some reason she could care less about Wes and just screamed, "KiKi!!!!!!!":

No one fell in and everyone survived:

Jasmyn spotted these cool logs in the distance. Wes was all about them and couldn't get there fast enough:

Last but certainly not least, the park had horses...Ev's absolute favorite. We saved them for last because there was a bounce house near the stables and we knew if the kids saw that it'd be over. Tenley knew there were horses and thought it was all a big surprise for Ev; she's such a sweetheart. She covered Ev's eyes with her hair bow as we approached the horses and told Ev we had a surprise for her. Ev was so excited!! Tenley guided her through the desert as we walked to the stables:

(This picture of her winking is my fav!!)

Daddy removed Ev's bow and the squeals and giggles came rushing out:

Thennn, we saw the mini-horses:

And Mommy's favorite-- the llama. I fed him crackers with Ev on my shoulders and she was squeezing me so hard. Her squeals were priceless. My favorite part about these pictures is that we both have the same exact facial expressions:

After feeding the animals we headed back to the spot where Jasmyn took the twin's cake smash photos 3 quick years ago. I don't know how, but these babies went from these chubby little one year olds to the spunkiest four year olds with the sweetest hearts:

We had so much fun taking pictures with Jasmyn! Pics with her are so easy. It's mostly us doing our thing and her capturing the moments in between. Jasmyn's real talent is that she always knows when that special moment is and captures it so perfectly. You are so talented, Jasmyn! I'm so excited to display your art on my walls and cherish these photos for years to come!
