Pure Love

Adding twins to our family was a huge surprise, but it has also been the greatest thing to happen to our family. Celebrating the twins first birthday has been a big milestone for everyone in our little family. Ed and I survived a year of sleepless nights, I am still breastfeeding both babies, Tenley has been a great big sister and grown so much and Everly and Wesley are absolutely unrecognizable. So to say I was looking forward to the twins first birthday/family photos with Jasmyn was a slight understatement. When she told me she wanted to go to Floyd Lamb State Park I was even more excited because I've always wanted to take pictures there and I knew Tenley would be into the peacocks.

The shoot started perfectly on this old white bridge:

(Thanks for the adorable outfits, Grammy & Thanks for the moccs, Grandma Cath! Us gals sure can put together adorable outfits! Love you both!)

Sweet Evie rested her hand on Wes' leg and it melted my heart:

The babies had some fun grabbing the wire on the bridge:

We attempted to take a family photo, but it turned into the girls hammin' it up for the camera, then into a bunny (a.k.a."Clover" from 'Sofia the First') chase:

Tenley couldn't find Clover, but she did stumble upon some peacocks. They scared her a bit at first so we managed to get her to sort of sit still for a millisecond before she was off to chase the peacocks:

While Tenley explored, Ed and I took a few pics with the birthday babes:

We walked around the park and on our way to the lake Ev decided that she was going to take her walking skills up a notch and really show off for Jasmyn:

Tenley was so excited about the lake because she thought she was going to see Ariel. She actually kept saying, "I gots ta jump in da lake ta fin NaMay!" Needless to say, we had to have a strong grip on that crazy girl around the lake:

We found this massive tree by the lake that was a perfect "look out" over the entire lake. Tenley managed to spot Scuttle while up in the tree and had fun climbing:

Then we headed to this tree filled area that was gorgeous! There was tons of leaves and pinecones that the kids loved:

On our way to the car to get the kids changed for the cake smash portion, we finally got a picture with everyone looking:

Ev and Wes remembered the cake from their birthday party because I couldn't put it down fast enough. They were ready to go! Like, "come on ma...don't let her take anymore pics!":

Once the twins were done, Tenley got down on some frosting:

To say I'm obsessed with these pictures would be putting it mildly. Jasmyn sent me 262 images and there was not 1 that I did not love. I can literally look at them everyday. I have never been more happy in my life and I think these pictures do a great job of showcasing our family's joy and pure love for each other; which is always captured so perfectly by Jasmyn (check her out on Instagram- @jasymnmarie). If this is what our first year as a family of five looks like, I can not wait to see what the next year looks like!

Hope you enjoyed the photos as much as I do!

(Thanks for capturing such a special time in our lives Jasmyn- you rock!)
