Tenley wore her Under Armour shirt from Grandma Cath to school on Monday and jazzed it up with some sparkle:
While T was at school, I got in some cuddle and play time with Wesley and Everly:
Tenley brought home this adorable penguin that she made since they're learning about the letter 'P':
I was super tired Monday night, so I indulged in a glass of wine while cooking dinner Monday night:
Linds found out she had pneumonia Monday night and I was so worried about her since her due date was literally days away! We read that Oregano and Frankincense doTERRA essential oils helped with pneumonia and luckily I had both to bring to her. I also made her favorite soup (tomato soup) to help her get better faster:
While I cooked the soup, Tenley kept telling me she was "sick like Linzee and Isla" and needed to "a-lax wit Pearl":
After dropping off the soup to our friends, we watched 'The Lorax'; which really means we fast forwarded and had dance parties to all the songs. The kids go nuts for the music in that movie:
I could watch this video of the kiddos dancing over and over again:
Ev and Wes didn't nap for long while Tenley was at school Wednesday morning (I think my days of 2 naps are getting numbered):
Tenley played with her baby dolls when she got home from school and said, "me got two babies, too, mommy":
Tenley dressed Ev up as Princess Anna, while I tried to wake Wes up from his afternoon nap. He was knocked out and would not wake up no matter what I did; which is totally not like him:
I was so exhausted on Wednesday that I decided enough was enough and I was done with nursing the babies ALLLLLL night and that they were just going to have to cry it out. At bedtime I nursed both babes to sleep and they were both in their cribs by 8pm. Sure enough Wes woke up at 8:20. After a few minutes of crying he got really angry and started screaming, then Ev woke up and all Hell broke loose. Ev was angrily gnawing on her crib, while Wes threw his leg up over his crib and attempted to jump ship. The plan completely backfired and the twins were attached to me like magnets on a fridge all night. I had absolutely no energy in the morning so I let the kids' breakfast do the smiling for me:
To make my days even better, Tenley has been peeing AND pooping her pants since our families left. Nothing we've done to get her to stop has helped either. She just doesn't care so it just adds to my list of things to do during the day. While getting ready for dance class she pooped in her dance clothes so I told her she wasn't allowed to go anymore (she had the sniffles also so it probably was for the better). She has been so defiant recently and I wish so badly that she would nap. Unfortunately, even Tenley's "relaxation time" (minus the iPad) has been pretty non-existent. She pretty much jumps on her bed for 10 minutes, then starts screaming that she needs to go potty so I'll come in and get her:
We brought out the rocker we used to have in Tenley's old nursery to try to rock the babies when they woke up throughout the night on Thursday and the kids were very curious about it:
(BIG SURPRISE: rocking the twins at night didn't work either.)
Tenley's sniffles turned into a cold Friday morning so she cuddled on the couch with Pearl:
Wes snuck Pearl goldfishies:
Evie gave baby brother the biggest/sweetest hugs:
The babes ate blueberries and absolutely loved them:
I was breastfeeding Wes on the couch and Ev crawled over, pulled my shirt down and latched on. Then, Tenley came over and said, "Me wants mommy, too!" I felt like a human jungle gym, but absolutely loved it. Wes was poking Ev in the eye and she was giggling; which then made Tenley giggle. It's moments like these that kinda make toddler poopy pants okay:
As soon as I sat down for actual dinner with my crazy crew, I got the long awaited text message from Mason. LINDSAY WAS HAVING THE BABY!!!! I scarfed down my cheeseburger, kissed my babies goodbye and was on my way to watch the newest member of the family be born. Isla and I played and made Lindsay pretend soup while she labored away:
Lindsay was an absolute superstar and it bring tears to my eyes just imagining the peaceful sound of her in labor. She is now the second friend I've watch give birth and I must say we are bonded for life. I feel truly honored to have been apart of this sweet little babies birth and will never forget the moment Lindsay's midwife said, "ok, reach down and grab your baby." I mean, what an AMAZING moment. Little Sailor Rose was born peacefully in her home at 8:16pm surrounded by nothing but love:
(LOOK AT THOSE LIPS AND THOSE CHEEKS AND THAT CHIN!!)
Little squish weighed 7 pounds 6.5 ounces and is just as gorgeous as could be:
Isla was such a sweet big sister, too! When Sailor was born in the tub she put a hat on her head to keep her warm. She really was just so excited to finally be a big sister:
I had to leave to put my big babies to sleep because they weren't having any of what Ed was trying to dish out:
I'm so glad I got to be apart of this amazing milestone in Lindsay, Mason, Isla and Sailor's life. I'm so proud of Lindsay, too. Not only does she amaze me with her phenomenal mothering skills on the daily, but now she's birthing babies in her bathroom. I mean, what can't she do? She is truly amazing. I just feel so blessed that her whole entire family is in my life and so fortunate to be able to see our families grow together. We love you guys so, SO much! Welcome to the world, Sailor Rose!
Tenley has been asking for a Barbie dress forever and since I'm not sure if they make those we improvised and broke out this fufu dress that my mom bought me like 10 years ago and Tenley couldn't have been happier:
Since I had to leave before even holding Sailor, I went over to snuggle the munch on Saturday while Ed stayed home with the sick kiddos:
(Seriously, I am so in love.)
The weather was too beautiful not to play outside (even with runny noses) before the Super Bowl and the kids looked so cute and ready for February:
When we came inside, daddy showed Tenley some wrestling moves and she loved it:
We watched the Super Bowl and Tenley loved Katy Perry's half time show and pretended to use her Cinderella MagiClip as a microphone while Wes and Ev also enjoy the show:
Speaking of babies...Francesca and Matt have a bun in the oven!! They are due to meet their little one in August and we're so excited for them:
Until next week! :)
