Weekly Update

The kids all caught that nasty cold that has been going around so we spent our Monday at home being lazy:

The kids snuck outside Tuesday morning when they were supposed to be letting Pearl in the house. I didn't want them outside since it looked like it was going to rain, but there was no bringing them in once they were out:

I secretly think the kids enjoy being sick because Daddy gives them Gatorade in big kid cups:

Wednesday was a big day for Ed. He recently got promoted to Foreman and is in charge of the new 4 story Hospitality Hall on UNLV's campus. He is such a hard worker that I just know he is going to kill it and I couldn't be more proud of him. On Wednesday they had a 'Topping-Out Celebration' where all of the bosses got to sign the 4th floor's final beam and he was so excited to be apart of it. I so wish I could've been there to witness him signing that beam. I'm so proud of him and his dedication to his career:

Tenley was feeling better and ready to go back to school on Wednesday. We were so behind and rushing out the door, then when I got in the car I noticed a sweet surprise from Ed and just melted. Forget red roses, the way to my heart is through red bags, if ya know what I mean:
(Thanks, babe!! I love you so much!!)

While T was in school the twins and I stopped at the grocery store really quick. I swear I can not leave there without buying a bag of skittles for Wes and M&Ms for Ev. Ev has such a sweet tooth that she ate the whole 'sharing size' of M&M's:

Tenley was so excited to be back to school and had fun learning about the letter 'B':

Ev and Wes weren't quite feeling 100% for school on Thursday so we played outside instead:

Ev napped so peacefully that afternoon and looked like an angel:

The twins slept in until 8 o'clock Friday morning. I was so shocked that I kept going in to make sure they were alive:

While Tee-Tee was at school we enjoyed the cooler temps and played in the backyard:

Tenley said she had the BEST DAY EVER at school on Friday. She said Miss Diane blew bubbles during recess and it was so much fun. They also painted bubbles and did a craft with black birds (all about that letter 'B'):

Ev helped me prepare our pizza so it was ready to go right in the oven when Daddy got home. She was such a big helper and loved counting the pepperoni slices:

Ev had another great dance class Saturday morning. Girlfriend loves Miss Cherity and watches her every move:

Tenley also had a good dance class Saturday morning:

Both Wes and Ev actually napped Saturday afternoon; which was an extremely pleasant surprise:

As soon as I woke up, I greeted them with Oreos since I was so excited that they napped:

Later that afternoon, Isla dropped off an apology note since Tenley was hurt that Isla didn't want to stand by T at dance. It was the sweetest thing ever and Tenley gave her the biggest hug and said they were still best friends (probably because of the dollar):

I had a slight fever Sunday morning so I took the day off from Pure Barre to try to feel better. We went to Egg Works for breakfast then took the kids to see the Fall display at the Bellagio. Tenley and Wesley loved it, but Ev was terrified of the talking tree (girl is scared of her own shadow) and was weary as she walked around. The display was so different this year and I think it may be my favorite. The fall colors and pumpkins were perfect:

After our outing I came home and slept the rest of the morning and afternoon. I woke up feeling much better, but Ed made sure I didn't have to do anything the rest of the day. He even agreed to paint the girls nails:

(He's seriously the best!)

Despite everyone being sick, we managed to have a great week! This upcoming week is HUGE for me. I met with my previous employer last week and he offered me a position. I'll be assisting him from home; which is perfect since I can still be a "stay-at-home-mom". Also, this week I was hired on by Pure Barre. They are flying me to Denver on Friday for training and I could honestly pee my pants just thinking about it. I am so nervous to leave the kids and Ed, but I have such a passion for Pure Barre that I know this is what I am supposed to do. Hopefully I will do well at training and impress them with my submission video...wish me luck!

Until next time! :)
