Weekly Update

Monday marked our 8th wedding anniversary! It feels like a lifetime ago and I honestly forgot until I got cards from my in-laws and Ed's grandma in the mail. Ed made sure to remind me with beautiful flowers and the sweetest card, too. The best thing of all was that inside both of our cards mentioned celebrating our anniversary at a Cup game (great minds think alike):

Tenley had a great day at school on Monday. She brought home an adorable bookmark and a Plant Journal that I loved:

Wes had his lesson with Coach Nickel Monday evening and worked on cross-overs:

Everly and Wesley learned about the letter 'Z' on Tuesday:

The Kindergarten kids all got "Care Packages" from their parents and Tenley's class opened theirs Tuesday afternoon. Tenley's had cards from all of us, pictures from her brother and sister, mini oreos, a new book, unicorn chapstick and a beanie boo named 'KiKi' since Ev has called her that since she could speak. The kids were all so excited for their packages during Kinder Camp:

Mrs. McCall sent the kids home with bubbles that read, "You blew me away this year!":

We took Wes to his Learn to Skate class Tuesday night and apparently it was cancelled for Memorial Day and we had no idea. The ice was in use so he couldn't even skate and was so bummed. I promised to take him and Ev to skate the next day; which was also a practice day. We barely got a parking spot, but got to watch practice before public skate times:

After practice we got to see Deryk Engelland, David Perron, Ryan Carpenter, Colin Miller and Nate Schmidt up close and Wes was so excited:

By the time we got to the front of the line, Wes only got to meet Ryan Carpenter and Colin Miller. They were so nice and Wes told them that meeting them was going to make him faster on the ice:

We went to skate and Wes went around and around all by himself. All the old ladies were giving him knuckles and cheering him on because he was doing so well. He was in Heaven and I really think meeting the guys did boost his confidence a bit:

Tenley brought home a beach ball cup Wednesday that read, "You worked hard this year!! Have a ball this summer!!":

Wednesday was also yearbook signing day and she was so excited to have her Kinder pals sign her yearbook:

They cleaned their classrooms on Wednesday so Tenley brought home her writing journal and this was my favorite entry:

I also loved this 'Packing Up My Year in Kindergarten':

Thursday was the kids last day of school and Ev wasn't ready for it:

Once everyone was up, they were so excited for their last day with their friends:

The last day of school was also Field Day for Kinder and Tenley had so much fun. Her favorite was definitely having a water fight with the Kinder teachers:

After school, we met our friends for frozen yogurt to celebrate the start of summer break:

I had all these plans to start summer off with a bang... like taking the kids swimming or to a splash pad, but I was so exhausted from the past two busy weeks that we kept it simple and played with bubbles in the backyard:

Tenley worked on her back walkover and flying skills at cheer:

All three kids have been sharing a room/bunk bed this weekend because Grammy and Pop-Pop are in town and staying with us for the weekend. The kids always wake up early, but have been waking up at 5:30am to wake up Grammy and Pop-Pop. Wes was so exhausted from his 2nd wake-up call that he fell asleep on our way to the pool Sunday morning:

The kids swam like fishes with Grammy and Pop-Pop for hours, then the Clingers came and the kiddos were all about taking care of baby Cayden:

Tomorrow Ed and I are going to watch history at the fortress for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final and I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight!! See ya tomorrow, Fortress:

Until next time! :)
