Bali Engagement!

Congrats Kasie and Jeremy!

Eddie and I have known Kasie and Jeremy for almost five years and they have become some of our closest friends. They recently went to Bali for a wedding and while they were there Jeremy proposed! Kasie called me when they got home and I started screaming! I could not stop smiling all day; I am so happy for them. They are such a great couple and I love them both!

My Bridal Shower - April 3, 2010

My Mom wanted to throw me a bridal shower in Ohio, but it was going to be impossible for me to go home because of school, work and of course, planning our wedding. When I knew I was not going to have a bridal shower I was okay with it; however my friend, Courtney, was not. She said I needed to have one so she decided she was going to throw one for me in Las Vegas. She invited all of my family and closest friends and made it a truly special day for me.

My friend, Kasie, also pitched in with my shower.  She brought Port of Subs sandwiches and fruit salad; which was delicious and perfect for an afternoon snack. Kasie also made me this really cute collage that hung on the doorway of Courtney’s house that read, “Eddie <3 Kelli”. It was super cute and very thoughtful. Thanks Kasie!

Courtney's mom owns a flower shop in Henderson and they made me these beautiful flowers. Courtney's sister, Geni, also came to my shower and brought me red velvet cupcakes, my absolute favorite. Thanks Lisa and Geni!

This is a picture of us having lunch outside. It had been rainy and cold all week, but the weather was perfect for my shower.

Eddie's cousin, Shirley, lives in Las Vegas and came to my shower. It's so nice to have family close by. Shirley bought me mixing bowls and a cake pan. I will be baking her a cake soon!

One of the games Courtney planned was the toilet paper bridal gown challenge. We broke everyone into three teams and each team had to make a wedding dress out of the toilet paper they were provided. The teams got very creative, hence Liz using Courtney's dining room centerpiece as her bouquet! Sam's team, Sam, Shirley and Lisa, won the game!

My Grandma wanted to buy Eddie and I flatware so that we could always think of her when we ate dinner. It took us awhile to find flatware that we really liked, but we finally found ones that we loved. My Gram bought them for us and had them shipped to me for the shower. I will always treasure the flatware. Thanks Grammy!

My Mom loves to buy me anything and everything that is PINK (my least favorite color). My kitchen consists of all pink utensils: pink spatula, pink can opener, pink strainer, pink measuring cups, pink ice cream scooper... get the picture? So naturally, I knew her gifts would be pink kitchen supplies; which is why I am laughing in this picture. Before I opened her gifts, I explained to everyone my Mom's logic behind the pink kitchen supplies. My Mom wanted a daughter more than anything, now she wants me to have a daughter and use the pink utensils every time we cook together. Although I hate pink, I secretly think this is the cutest thing my Mom does for me. Love you Mom! :)

It turned out to be a perfect shower and I am truly blessed to have such amazing family and friends! Thanks for hosting my bridal shower, Courtney. You created a memory that I will never forget!
