Weekly Update

The twins had a lazy Monday morning while Tenley Bear was at school learning about the letter 'O'. While they snuggled and played 'Connect 4', I worked on a Kindergarten application for T; which totally brought on the water works:

The girls love to take pictures on my phone and they captured these moments themselves:

I had to work Wednesday evening and had the sweetest exiting committee:

Ev snuggled into our bed overnight and I just love waking up next to her:

Wessie Boy has such a hard time going to school. He hates leaving me; which is so weird because I thought he'd be the outgoing one and Ev would be the clingy one. He has been demanding to talk to Daddy before we leave and even though Ed's camera is filthy from the construction site, his voice gave Wes the confidence to go to school without crying:

It was another cold day here so I took Tenley to Barnes & Noble to read some books. We read books for over an hour and a half and really enjoyed each other's company. We found two books with great messages, "The Pout-Pout Fish" and "Llama Llama Red Pajama", and Tenley picked out a 'Big Hero 6' book for brother:

The twins made their octopus' at school and Wesley's upside down tentacles crack me up:

Tenley continued to learn about the letter 'O' on Wednesday:

Ev is our only kid that speaks like a baby. Tenley always said everything how it was supposed to sound, Wesley always spoke fluently and only says some things like a baby, but everything that Ev says sounds like a baby talking and I LOVE it. Her voice is so soft and sweet. I could listen to her tell me what she wants for breakfast ALL day:

Thursday was Everly and Wesley's turn to make 'O''s and "amberlances" with 'O' wheels:

The sun was finally out Thursday afternoon so we bundled up and played in the backyard. The kids were so happy to be outside again:

I dropped Tenley off at school on Friday and everyone had their windows down since the sun was shining. Tenley was yelling to Jackson's car that was a few cars ahead of us and said, "Hey, Jackson!! I begged my Daddy to invite you over for dinner last night, but he said no. Kinda weird." I was dying. The stuff that this girl says just cracks me up:

The twins and I went to buy Pearly dog food and they loved looking at the different animals. Fearless little Evie even got to touch a gecko:

Tenley exchanged pictures of Ogres with her pal, Jackson, and colored an 'O' for the ocean:

Saturday morning was big for ME. This time last year I was feeling so down about myself. I looked in the mirror after nursing the twins for over 2 years and didn't even recognize myself. As mothers, we get so caught up in our children's lives that we never make time for ourselves. Looking in the mirror and not even knowing who I was starring at was my turning point. I started by walking, then running, trying the 27 Day Fix, then later discovered Pure Barre and I've never enjoyed working out so much more in my life. From my very first class with Victoria, I was hooked. I knew during that class that my passion for it was only going to grow and that I, too, wanted to inspire others to find themselves again. After working out daily became routine, I realized that I didn't need to feel guilty for leaving the kids to make myself healthier (mind and body). Because of Pure Barre, I'm so much happier and am able to be a better mother to my babes. Saturday I officially joined the 250 Club at Pure Barre Henderson. It may sound stupid, but I was so proud of myself. I went from being a passionate client to a Pure Barre Teacher; which is a pretty awesome feeling. I love this place and these people so much:

I taught class after taking the 'Bye Bye Inner Thighs' intensive, so Ed took Ballerina Evie to dance class. I guess she was a little upset that she wasn't Line Leader, but the show went on:

After class, the kids got mail from Isla and were so excited to open it:

Then, it was Tenley's turn to dance. She had such a good class and was so excited to began learning her recital routine:

Ev modeled my new '250 Club' tank and looked so adorable:

We had a birthday party Sunday afternoon and Ev wanted her hair in "tig-tails". It was a stretch, but it made her so happy:

The girls looked so cute with their matching "tig-tails":

We had a blast at Lily and Olivia's cupcake decorating party on Sunday! The kids had a blast playing in the sandboxes in the backyard and ate WAY too much sugar while decorating cupcakes and cookies:

(Happy birthday, Lily and Liv!!)

Until next time! :)
