Weekly Update

The kids were sick this week; which meant everyday was a lazy pajama day. We spent our monday crafting, battling tantrums and napping:

The kids weren't eating much of anything. Except on Tuesday when I made my delicious pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and the kids ate them for breakfast:

Wednesday was a super busy day for us. I had to work in the evening so I had to get all my Thanksgiving baking done and squeeze in a dentist appointment before heading off to work. Somehow I managed, my teeth impressions may not be perfect due to the kids jolting the chair I was in, but we survived and everyone still had a pulse at the end of the day:

Thursday was Thanksgiving- my favorite holiday! The kids couldn't wait to go to Aunt Lindsay's for dinner and looked sweeter than pie:

Lindsay always outdoes herself and makes Thanksgiving so magical. We had dinner early since Mase had to work that evening; which meant we got to spend even more time there- SCORE (for us)! The kids loved seeing their friends and playing with Isla's family. We really have the best time with them and are SO thankful we have them in our lives:

(Thanks for making us apart of your holiday celebration, Lidsay! We love you all!)

I went to Pure Barre's Resistance Intensive Friday morning and figured it was appropriate to wear my new holiday sticky socks:

We took the kids to see Moana Friday morning and the kids loved it:

After working Saturday morning, I came home to the kids and their Daddy playing with Kinetic Sand and my heart melted:

The kids finally started feeling better Saturday. Ev was so happy she did a happy dance:

We had to run to Target Sunday and the kids insisted on taking a pic with these massive Ninja Turtles. Wes is obsessed and kept saying how he was at Disneyland:

We didn't get the life size Ninja Turtle, but Wes did get a diamond edition Rafael in his blind bag. That boy took him everywhere all day:

Although the kids (and I) were sick, we had such a great Thanksgiving and long relaxing weekend together. Plus tonight, Wes slipped me the tongue when giving me a kiss goodnight; which made me laugh SO hard and made my day (can't wait to tell him about that when he's 16). I'm so thankful for my family and don't know what I'd do without them. And with that, I'll leave you with a sweet and silly video of the girls:

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!! Until next time! :)

Weekly Update

The twins and I went exploring Monday morning while Tenley was in school. We played at the park, walked around the gardens, looked for trolls and bunnies and found a swarm of chipmunks:

This week the kids are learning about the letter 'I' at school and I was confused by T's letter craft, but she cleared it up for me by saying, "it's an 'I' mom, duh.":

After dropping the twins off at school, Tenley and I went to the park. Girlfriend loves to swing. I keep trying to pump higher than her, but literally feel sick when I do; which just makes me feel old so I give up instantly. These kids have the life:

The twins also did their 'I' craft and made cute little turkey hands (handprint crafts are my fav!):

The kids were up and at it early Wednesday morning. Tenley gave Pearly lots of lovins and Wes was being super silly:

Another day, another park. While the twins and I were at the park a man walked up to us with his Grandson and said, "you are blessed by the Lord." He was so sweet and really put a smile on my face. Plus, the kids were being super sweet on each other; which always melts my heart:

In addition to the letter 'I', Tenley started learning about Thanksgiving in school:

We were in serious need of a new kid's table so I finally caved. The kids were so excited and the big boxes kept them entertained while I put the table together:

Wednesday was the final day for the 'See Your Strong' challenge at Pure Barre so they celebrated with Champagne for the Champs after every class. I also taught my second solo class that evening and had fun celebrating with the champs afterwards:

Thursday was the twins turn to make Thanksgiving crafts at school and they were so excited about these "turkey snacks" they got to take home:

The kids are obsessed with 'Trolls'; it's all they talk about. Tenley makes the "hug time" sound and forces everyone to hug. It's so sweet, but Ev values personal space:

Friday is errand day. We did all of our grocery shopping and the kids spotted things they wanted from Santa. I've decided that we're not going insane for Christmas this year. I always feel a sense of guilt if the tree isn't pouring with presents, but it's very overwhelming and the kids just rip through presents not really appreciating each and every one. The plan is to get the kids one present each that they really want and maybe a few small things we could play together as a family. Ev is Barbie obsessed and was so mad when I told her we couldn't buy Barbie's Dreamhouse from Costco Friday morning. I told her she'd have to tell Santa that she wanted that. She talked the whole time about how "Santa bring me Babie house Christmas time." She kept scanning our receipt and screaming, "Babie House!!":

Ev must've forgotten that Santa only brings presents to kids on the "nice list" because she screamed for an hour and a half. She's getting her very last molar and goes nuts at the drop of a dime. After all that fuss for nothing, she fell asleep on me after only seconds of closing her eyes:

My little diva rocked her Saturday morning dance class:

Then it was Tenley's turn:

Wes had a runny nose and we had nothing planned for the night so I caved and made Ed break out the Christmas tree. How could we say no when the kids were so excited? So we lit Christmas candles, listened to the Trolls soundtrack and decorated the tree with the kids. It was really a perfect Saturday:

By Sunday evening Wes' cold made its way to Ev. He has been his normal self despite the runny nose, but it knocked Ev out cold. She was chewing on steak one minute then laid down on the bench and started snoring. Poor girl was miserable:

While Ev snored on my lap, the kids watched Trolls videos and cracked us up when they would say, "oh snap!":

2 out of 3 kids may have ended the week with being sick, but we still had a great week! Please send them some good vibes so everyone is better by Thanksgiving! Can't wait...see ya then! :)
