Weekly Update

We got Tenley Bear's dance pictures back and although the photographer forgot to take Isla and Tenley's buddy picture (whomp, whomp, whomp) her individual and group photo was adorable! I can't believe how big she is getting:

We kicked off our week by meeting our friends at The District to cool off a bit:

It just so happened that the Rice girls also had on their flamingo suits so all the girls were twinning and freakishly adorable. There is something about friends in matching clothes that makes my heart melt! Of course, I tried to get a pic of all 4 girls, but fell short since they were busy being kids, go figure:

No trip to The District's splash pad is complete without a trip to Panera. The kids were so excited that they all climbed in our stroller and starting chanting, "mac 'n cheese!! Mac 'n cheese!!":

I was stuck at home Tuesday morning while we waited for the repair man to come fix our dryer so Linds did us a solid and came to keep us company. She's pretty awesome like that. I feel like it's rare that we see each other so much when we don't have activities to keep the kids as butt-buddies so we were super stoked to see them two days in a row:

Trying to get Ev dressed after bath time is a total chore. Girlfriend runs from me the whole time and she is super fast for such a pipsqueak. Trying to get a shirt over her head is always a riot:

For the first time in what feels like years, Wes slept in! I can honestly say I heard angels singing when I didn't wake up to him yelling in my face. I like this morning Wessie way better:

We had plans to meet the Poes at Fun Lane Wednesday morning. It turned out that it was also the only day we could see the Robbins crew before they went back to Denver. The Luks and Kiwanuka girls were also there so it was really one big party! It was so nice to see Elle and Conrad's sweet faces. They were so shy at first, then it was like no time had passed between their tiny friendships. Seeing Chelsea was, well...the same as it always is: full of teary eyes and FUN! That girl sure knows how to make a person smile. It was so much fun seeing all the kids play together while I got to chat with friends:

That night the kids stayed home with Daddy while I went to Pure Barre:

Thursday was my day to clean the house before the weekend. The kids played nicely together all morning and Ev took her first nap of the week. She looked so peaceful and I was extremely jealous of those Z's she was getting:

We went shopping Friday for our upcoming trip to Ohio. Only Ev managed to find headphones she liked and she was so excited when she learned how they worked:

The twins took their first simultaneous nap of the week and I was over the moon about it and Tenley was excited to have some alone time with me:

We took the kids to The District's splash pad again Saturday morning and Daddy was being a total goofball. He was pouring water on the girls heads and Tenley finally got him good:

Next on the agenda was Panera, duh. There must've been something in the cheese that made them super silly:

The kids needed baths after our morning, which put Wes down for the count:

Pure Barre Henderson started a 'Summer Slim Down Challenge' on June 15th. The challenge was to take 40 classes in 60 days. I thought that was easy since I normally go 5 to 6 times a week (and I'm an overachiever) so I decided to challenge myself to take 40 classes in 40 days. It may not sound hard to most, but if you've taken a class you'd understand how hard it really was. After about 2 straight weeks, I thought my body was falling apart, but pushed myself past the soreness and kept on. On Sunday, I finally completed my 40th class since the challenge began (technically it was my 42nd class in a row since I didn't take a break before the challenge began, but who's counting, right?!). It felt so good to fill in that 40th bubble and since the owners and instructors are the sweetest ever, they gave me a gift for pretty much destroying that challenge. I can't say enough good things about this place and especially how good it makes me feel:

(Thanks girls!!)

After dinner we treated the kids to ice cream at Chilly Jilly'z (and I treated myself to a sip or two of Ed's strawberry/banana custard shake):

I'll leave you with this little goodie:

Until next time! :)
