Weekly Update

The babies took turns playing in the shade while Tenley played with chalk (in anticipation of her grandparents visit later this week) and cooled off in her new pool:

I got this awesome new print from Rice + Rye for the spare bathroom:

Lindsay's birthday was Monday and we planned a little celebration at Hidden Falls Park on Tuesday. I figured it'd be a good time for the kids to wear their Hawaiian outfits that Linds and Mase brought back from Hawaii for the kids and they sure looked adorable:

After our mini photo shoot, we were off to the park to celebrate Aunt Lindsay's birthday. Karina and I brought yummy cupcakes; which gave the girls some extra energy (and made Tenley crap her Hawaiian pants...whomp, whomp, whomp!) to run around like nuts:

(Happy birthday, Linds!!)

The babes got in a little exercise on their play mat:

Tenley read books to everyone Wednesday morning:

We took a bunch of silly selfies, then Tenley was making the twins laugh and was playing with them so sweetly...you know, just meltin' my heart:

Can you believe that Wednesday was our 4 year wedding anniversary? Ed brought me home these pretty yellow roses and the sweetest card:
(Love you, babe!!)

Moose Man and Tenley Bear woke up super early on Thursday and Tenley tried teaching him how to crawl. He did really good at scooting his feet and sticking his butt in the air. Scary to think that they'll be crawling soon! They had so much fun playing together:

Baby sis woke up and joined the party just in time for Linds and Isla to come over:

Tenley and Isla had fun splashing around in the pool:

(That big smile on Tenley's face was masking that fact that she was holding in a big 'ol poop... Tenley kept telling me she had to poop every 5 minutes. I carried her soaking body through the house 3 times and after the 3rd attempt to poop on the potty she decided it wasn't a party until someone pooped in their swim suit. I don't know why, but this girl is terrified of pooping (even in diapers). It's such a daily struggle!)

The Venturino girls came over for cheeseburger's and some pool fun:

Karina picked up Tenley Friday morning to give me a bit of a "break" after having such a crappy week (pun intended). I had a lot to do around the house since we were having guests and it was so much easier to get it all done with only 2 babies in the house. Tenley was so excited for Karina to pick her up that she waited by the door saying, "I go with Kurry!" and when Karina arrived, Tenley couldn't get out the door fast enough. She had such a blast with her best bud:

The whole time I cleaned the house (while the twins napped) I kept saying in my head, "after this crazy week, I do NOT miss her!" Then I walked through the door at Karina's and Tenley screams, "MOOSEY!! I miss Moose!! I miss Eh, too!! I miss Momma, too!!" (All while giving us the biggest hugs and kisses!) And just like that, she had me...I missed her, too. Thanks, Karina! I appreciate you, oh so much!

Speaking of Karina, she got Wes to belly laugh for the first time this week and it was by far the cutest thing EVER! I got him to do it again AND caught it on tape:

I set Wesley on the couch for a second and every time I put the babies on the couch Tenley thinks it's time for a picture (even in her panties):

Evie got ready for Grammy and Pop-Pop's arrival and was so excited to see her grandparents:

Grammy and Pop-Pop arrived and our house was instantly filled with fun and laughter:

The kiddos skipped nap time to go swimming at Sunset Station:

The kids were tired from the sun and were being lazy butts Saturday afternoon:

We spent Sunday morning at the splash pad with my in-laws:

We went to Balboa at The District for lunch and Evie slept in Ed's arms the whole time:

When we got home, I nursed Wes to sleep while Ed ran to CVS. He came home and found us like this:

Ed has been wanting to ride The High Roller at The Linq since it opened. Since his parents were in town, we left the kids home and finally got out to celebrate our anniversary:

After riding The High Roller we walked around, had drinks, and got a cupcake from the cupcake ATM:

My "crappy" week actually turned out pretty great!

Until next time! :)
