A Girl Can Dream, Right?!

Christian Louboutin - "Catenita"

I saw these heels today and feel in LOVE with them! I'm never a fan of anything pink, but these are way too cute. These heels are $830 (yes, $830!) and it's safe to say I will only dream about them... I just had to share their beauty with someone!

Grace Taylor Espejo

Congrats Courtney and Isaac!

My friend, Courtney, is 29 weeks pregnant and I couldn’t be more excited for her! Courtney is due on June 11th, 2010. She found out she was having a girl a few months ago and decided to name her Grace Taylor Espejo. This morning I got to go to an ultrasound with her. I’ve never been to one before so I was super excited. When I first saw Gracie on the screen I got really teary eyed. I could not believe that was going on inside of Courtney’s belly! What a superhero, right?! It’s amazing to think that she is carrying this baby and they are so bonded. I can’t wait until she gets here!

Day at The Park

This Sunday, Eddie, Pearl and I went to the park with our friends Isaac, Courtney and their dog Isabel. We went and got our dogs tie-outs (since they aren't too fond of other dogs) and brought them to the park. We sat on our blankets and chatted while the dogs laid in the shade and constantly occasionally attacked each other. Isabel likes to creep up on Pearl, but as soon as Pearl noticed her Isabel pretended like she is just sniffing around. The highlight of the day for Pearl was finding a piece of gum in the grass! Ed had to take it from her and throw it, but not too far because it didn't take long for Pearl to find it again. Izzie caught on and found the gum too. Eddie finally threw the gum far enough so they couldn't get it again. Our dogs are too funny together! While the dogs did their thing, us “grown-ups” got to catch up on everything going on in each other’s lives, from weddings to babies. We ate Capriotti’s and drank Cherry Coke Big Gulps. It was such a nice day to hang out in the sun with some pretty amazing friends!

Gold Strike Hot Springs Hike

Since the weather has been so beautiful, Eddie and I have been looking for adventurous things to do outdoors. March 15, 2010 was our seven-year anniversary and to celebrate we decided to go to the Gold Strike Hot Springs Hike. This is a hike that takes you from Boulder City to the Colorado River. We’ve heard such good things about this hike that we’ve wanted to go for quite some time. We left early in the morning and headed to Boulder City to begin our hike...

In the beginning, we thought the hike was a "piece-of-cake"
since it was all flat ground for the first two miles of the hike.

Along the way, we came across a lot of hot springs.
The water was so warm! It’s truly amazing how nature works.

The last two miles of the hike were very strenuous.
We had to climb down these ginormous boulders
that had ropes to help you get down.

Finally, we could see the Colorado River!

From the Colorado River we could see the new
Hoover Dam bridge that is still being built.
Just looking at it made my stomach turn...
That is one bridge I will NEVER drive across!

The views were so pretty!

What a great way to spend our seven-year anniversary!

Once we got to the Colorado River we sat by the water, ate some snacks and listened to music. We spent a total of five hours on the hike and got a lot of sun and a good workout. It was such a nice and relaxing day, but we were both sore for the next week. We can't wait to do it again soon!
