Weekly Update

Tenley was all better and off to school Monday morning; which was apparently too much for little Evie to handle. She was so exhausted that she fell asleep on me and I was too tired to notice her dozing to prevent it. She sure did look cozy on me, though:

After a quick cat nap, the babes snacked and waved 'hi' to their pal Mickey:

Wes insisted on wearing Tenley's old Ugg boots to pick sissy up...I can never say no to his sweet little face and they did look cute:

Tenley learned about the letter 'J' at school and did a really good job tracing and coloring her jack-in-the-box:

We declared Tuesday pajama day since the kids got some awesome new jammie jams from Grammy and Pop Pop (thanks, guys!!) and just because it's the season of wearing PJs all day, right?! The kids looked extra cute in their new festive jams:

Chelsea was in town and it seemed like we weren't going to be able to see each other; which absolutely had me heartbroken. Turns out mother nature took a big dump on Denver early Tuesday morning and her flight got cancelled. Unfortunate for her fam back in Denver, but yay for us!! I was thrilled when she told me her flight was cancelled and she was going to come visit. My spirits were so broken then she came over and she lifted me up so much when she was actually the one who was in need of the lift. She came over around 9am and played with us all day. It was just like when she lived here...hangin' out like a bunch of dumpster fires, drinkin' coffee, tickling babies, laughing, deep conversation, crying, dying hair- you name it!! She is the best and we love and miss her terribly already:

While Tenley was at school Wednesday morning the twins got to enjoy looking at the Christmas ornaments without getting yelled at by Tenley, The Ornament Boss, before heading out to play in the gorgeous sunshine:

(When I asked if they were ready to go inside Ev did her favorite thing...crossed her arms and yelled, "NO!")

Tenley learned about the number '8' and homes at school:

Tenley has been begging to drive her Mercedes and since the weather was gorgeous Thursday morning we went for it. Unfortunately, her Benz doesn't seat three kids and it was dead. The kids fought for a seat, but had fun because it randomly went in reverse from time to time. Once they realized they weren't going to make it to Disneyland in their ride they headed to the backyard to play before taking a break:

Friday morning was going swimmingly and I was ahead of schedule because everyone was full of smiles:

Then came the struggle of getting into the car seats...Wes "puts up a fight", while I literally had to force Ev into her seat. Please tell me she isn't the only child who absolutely hates car seats? She screamed all the way to T's school and to Target. Thank God I was able to get into Target and purchase Adele to save my sanity:

Tenley made this really cool home at school. According to her, in the yellow window is me laying in bed (which she never sees so there's that), Pearl, her and Daddy. I asked her where her brother and sister were and she said they were at the hospital. I tell ya, I don't know where she gets this stuff from. She is definitely the sweetest and silliest girl:

She's been singing and dancing to this song she learned at school that goes like this: "every turkey can dance..." We spent our Friday evening making homemade pizza, singing and dancing with the kids to the turkey song while laughing so hard. It was an amazing Friday night:

We went to the Venturino's Saturday morning so the kids could meet their newest girlfriend. Wes couldn't keep his eyes (and hands) off of her. We all love her so much already:

Then we headed to Saturday dance class. Tenley has not been doing well with this new time. Although she hasn't napped for over a year now she really needs her "resting" time. If she isn't laying down around that time she's a real terd. She didn't want to dance at all and just stood there like a shy girl- totally not herself:

Grammy, the Hallmark Queen, sent the kids some new ornaments for the tree (thanks Grammy & Pop  Pop!!) so we spent Saturday hanging all the new ornaments. The kids are obsessed with ornaments and get so excited every time they open a box and love putting it on the tree. They had a blast decorating, dancing to their new musical ornaments and they ended the night watching Christmas movies together before bed:

We spent Sunday morning at Caesar's Palace shopping and eating lunch. The kids were actually well behaved and so sweet on one another:

Ed took me past his latest project on the way home- MGM's Topgolf. It's a four level building with interactive golfing, entertainment and bars. The golf balls have chips in them that you have to hit targets with. This topgolf will also feature pools since it's so dang hot here. It sounds like so much fun and I'm so proud of Ed! I can't wait for it to open so we can go try it out:

(That's the duct work on the 2nd floor that Ed's guys did. He is currently working on the 1st floor, but I wanted to point out exactly what his union does.)

The kids have been feeling a-okay since Monday, but just when we think we're in the clear Tenley started complaining of a headache and was burning up Sunday night. Please say some prayers that it doesn't spread and she'll be better for Thanksgiving!

Until next time! :)
