Weekly Update

Wes woke up super early Monday morning, per usual, but when we were playing I noticed that little squish's bottom right tooth cut through the gum. He wouldn't let me get a picture, but he did let me get a pic of him hammin' it up:
(06-16-14: First Tooth)

The twins are really moving around like maniacs these days. They'll be chillin' on their mat one second, then on the tile the next. They scoot backwards and forwards. It makes me so sad to think that my babies could be crawling soon:

Ev tried out Tenley's old walker:

She was more interested in playing the piano with her mouth instead of walking in it though:

Moose Man's good mood was short lived and the teething pain kicked in. He just screamed for what seemed like hours and would not nap unless I was holding him:

Since both babes were teething and cranky they spent some time in their bouncers, where they seemed happy:

Everything went to shit (literally...Tenley pooped her pants because I was too busy tending to these crank yankers) and the babies both turned on me. They were both screaming at the same time and there was nothing I could do but kind of block it out and stay calm. You know it's bad when Evie is screaming and squirming:

Wes wakes up every 2.5 hours at night and doesn't even sleep for a stretch. I wanted to wait until the babies were 6 months old to introduce solids, like I did with Tenley, but since they are almost 6 months I figured I'd give it a shot since I'm desperate for some sleep. I never gave Tenley rice cereal, but I've heard it helps babies sleep for long stretches so I made homemade organic brown rice and mixed it with breast milk for the babes and they didn't absolutely hate it, but they didn't really love it either:

Well, my homemade brown rice & breast milk mixture didn't seem to help...at all. I nurse the babies on a twin breastfeeding pillow and I'm constantly falling asleep while nursing them sitting up in bed; which is pretty useless sleep. I try to browse the internet to keep myself up, but sometimes I wake up and find myself mid-creepily writing on some strangers Facebook wall because I fell asleep with my phone in my hand. In an attempt to keep myself up during feedings and to actually remember what times the babies woke up I made sure to write it down in my phone. The funny thing is that this was a decent night of feedings for the babies (well, I should say for Wes because he is the real troublemaker):

The twins still love to be swaddled when they're nursing or sleeping. Whenever they break loose they instantly wake up; which is a real pain. Moose man can bust out of his like Houdini and really tangle himself up:

Tenley woke up missing Grandma Cath on Wednesday and insisted on wearing her "princey shir from Grandma Cath" then kept looking out the window and asking when she was coming over (breaking. my. heart.):

Tenley is obsessed with this book, 'Butterfly Kisses', and the book talks about how a chicken says, "cock-a-doodle-do" and Tenley says it so cutely:

After an extremely busy few weeks, we finally got to hang out with our besties and the girls made sure to spread the lovin' around:

While Tenley napped I hung out with Ev and Wes:

We tried introducing the babies to water since it's so hot outside and Tenley was excited to help hold their bottles for them. They don't get that they have to hold up the bottle to get the water, but chewing on the bottle feels good on their teeth so they really enjoyed that:

I got the kiddos ready for the park Thursday and Tenley loved to be "matchy matchy" with sissy and beat her hand on the couch while saying, "I take a picky-ture, mom-mee!" These moments don't happen often so I gladly obliged:

We got some Grouchy John's coffee, then met Kasie and baby Jakson at the park where the babies chilled in the shade while Tenley played on the playground:

The twins were looking mighty delicious while doing tummy time (seriously almost ate those cuties up):

They kept up the cuteness at bath time:

The babes hung out in their bumbos while discovering Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for the first time. They were so fascinated that even their goofy big sis couldn't get their attention:

Tenley sang 'Let it Go' for the twins and her antics really kept their attention this time:

(Like her outfit? She picked it out.)

Tenley had me take goofy pics of her on my phone:

While Tenley napped, I rocked Wessie Boo to sleep then cuddled with my wide-eyed beauty before Daddy got home from work:

My mom bought the girls these adorable foo-foo outfits that went perfectly with their pink sparkle bows and Tenley couldn't wait to take a picture with her baby sis:

(Thanks, Mom!! We love you!!)

We met the Venturino girls at Acacia Park and although it was way too hot to stay for more than 20 minutes we had fun while we were there:

Tenley is beyond obsessed with The Little Mermaid (it's borderline creepy) or anything mermaid, for that matter. Since she has been doing so good on the potty (other than when she pooped her pants because I was tending to the babies) and has grown into such an awesome big sister that we had a "big surprise" in store for her Saturday night- the mermaid show at the Silverton casino and she freaked when she saw the tank. When the mermaid came down into the water she screamed and yelled, "NA MAY!!!!!!!!!!"; which caused everyone to stare at us. She was glued to the glass and followed the mermaid everywhere (a total mermaid hog). She kept saying, "I go swim with Na May!" and "I see Na May, mom-mee!" Seeing the excitement in her eyes made my heart smile so big. It was so much fun:

Wes Man was up bright and early Sunday morning...just cruisin' around in Tenley's pink walker:

For a change of scenery, we did some shopping at the Miracle Mile Shops:

Until next time! :)
