Weekly Update

Tenley is obsessed with Oreos and if we have any in the pantry she'll find 'em:

We had a play date at the Rices and the girls entertained themselves while we lounged on the couch like bums:

While I had the quickest appointment ever with Dr. Adashek, Auntie Karina watched Tenley (or should I say the dogs watched Tenley?):

Tenley was super tired after her busy day with friends that she passed out when we got home:

I was in so much pain on Wednesday that I was unable to take Tenley to her gymnastics class. Luckily, the Venturino girls came over to keep us company. I had fun cuddling Lena and making her giggle, while the girls played and had a dance party:

Ed took Tenley out for a bit so I could rest and I couldn't find Pearl anywhere. Sure enough, she was cuddled up in sissy's bed waiting for her to come back:

I was still feeling awful on Thursday so I stayed on the couch as much as possible while Tornado Tenley took over. She played with every toy she has, lined up her friends and gel clings several time (major OCD issues), gave Purr check-up after check-up and watched it rain out the front window:

(While giving Pearl a check-up, Tenley and I had this conversation...
Tenley: Uh-oh!! No!!
Me: Does Pearl not feel good?
Tenley: Yeah...Purr bad!)

I still wasn't feeling good Friday morning. Usually my pain worsens throughout the day and will start to diminish throughout the night, but it hadn't let up for 3 whole days and getting up to pee was literally taking 15 minutes and felt like pure torture walking to the bathroom. I tried to tough it out, but I was having such bad contractions that I was crying. To make matters worse every time I cried Tenley would cry and throw a tantrum because she didn't know what was wrong with me. It got so difficult to do anything so I texted my doctor about what was happening and he suggested I come in for monitoring. During monitoring I was having contractions every 2 to 5 minutes:

Since I was having more contractions than they'd like to see at almost 31 weeks they wanted to do an ultrasound to double check the babies and check my cervix. The babies were lively and scored a 6 out of 8 on the ultrasound exam. Ev was being shy again, but Wes was looking right at Mommy the whole time:

With the monitoring and ultrasound the babies scored an 8 out of 10 and they were doing great. Lastly, they checked my cervix and said I was only dilated a fingertip. Due to all the contractions I've been having the doctor prescribed me Procardia to stop the contractions so the babies could stay in as long as possible to cook. I'm so glad I went to see the doc because I would have been worried sick all weekend. Knowing that the babies were ok really put me at ease and I was finally able to rest comfortably.

Thank God for Lindsay offering to watch T at such late notice while I went to see the doc. The girls played with each others iPad and were really good for Linds:
(I really don't know how I would've gotten through this pregnancy without such great friends to babysit T all the time. I appreciate it so much. Love you, Linds and Karina!)

We had a super lazy Friday night. Tenley lounged in her lil' bro's sleeper and had fun playing with Daddy:

We got T into the Saturday morning gymnastics class so that Ed could finish out this session with her and they had a blast together:

T really missed Pearl while she was at gymnastics and made sure to give her lots of hugs when she got home:

That night, Ed got out all the Christmas boxes to start decorating so we could relax during his 4 day weekend. Tenley was such a big help and had so much fun putting Santa hats on Pearl and telling us where to put the ornaments:

(Always lining things up! OCD- just like her parents!)

Since we're on the topic of Christmas...I tried thinking of things I need. The only things that I actually need is my school loans to disappear, a car to fit my massively expanding family and bedroom furniture, but that's a whole other story. Since I don't truly need anything, I'm sharing the few items in lusting over:

Ed forced me to do nothing, but lay in bed on Sunday and I happily oblidged. When I lay in bed the twins are always sticking their lil' tushies out making my belly look like a butt. I tried getting a picture of it, but the picture just doesn't do it justice:

Until next week! :)

(My favorite holiday is next week!! Woo-hoo!!)

Weekly Update

Tenley's newest words this week are: Clover, iPad, soft, sorry, but my absolute favorite is purple:

Since Ed had the day off for Veteran's Day, we decided it'd be good to try taking Tenley's bubba away. We chopped off the tip so it'd lose suction and she lost interest in it and didn't ask for it at all after realizing that it was "broke". She kept herself busy by playing around the house:

Then, all hell broke loose at nap time and she was pissed. She would throw the "broken" bubba at us and cried the biggest tears for an entire hour until we gave in:

We figured that completely cutting her off from her beloved bubba was not the smartest idea so for now she'll only be getting it at nap time and bed time. Gotta take baby steps with our bubba lover, I guess. After her nap, she played outside with Daddy in her Benz and Daddy taught her how to ride her trike:

The Venturino girls came over on Tuesday for a play date and the girls had a blast giving Alena a check-up:

After watching Karina give me an ah-mazinggg foot/calf massage, Tenley thought she'd pitch in and practiced what she learned:

The babies have been moving like crazy and I can now see their every movement. The massages must have loosened them up because they were moving around like Rockem Sockem Robots:

Gymcats gave us another trial class on Wednesday since T was sick during her first class. I'm so glad we tried it again because she had so much fun! Her favorites are the trampoline and balance beam. Her teacher, Mrs. Susy, is the sweetest lady and really lets the kids do what they want, while still showing them the proper ways to do it. I'm so glad  that Isla and Tenley get to enjoy this new experience together, while having so much fun:

Ed will not let me trim Tenley's hair to make it all one length. Needless to say, her  rat-tail/mullet is starting to get way out of control:

T's love for Pearl has recently turned into an obsession. She is constantly hugging and kissing her (against Pearl's will):

She literally makes Pearl do everything with her. I should've seen this coming since they used to watch movies together since she was born and still forces her to do so:

I hate Thursdays since Ed is gone all day with work and school. It didn't help that this Thursday I was in some major pain due to the massive watermelon that has hijacked my midsection:
(29 weeks 5 days)

I was beyond excited when Ed made it home for bath time and so was Tenley:

The Venturino girls came over for another play date/foot rub session on Friday. The girls played together so well, while Karina spoiled me with another amazing foot massage:

(Thanks soooo much, Karina! I don't know what I'd do without you!)

Tenley loved on Pearl, again:

That night, we went to Town Square for Santa's arrival parade:

I hit the 30 week mark in my pregnancy on Saturday; which is such an accomplishment with twins. Since I still had money on my Green Valley Ranch Spa gift card, I celebrated with a 50 minute maternity massage that was heavenly:

That afternoon, Tenley and Ed took a long nap together:

Tenley has started to take Pearl's food bowls everywhere and forces her to eat:

Tenley got dressed in her Steelers gear and started shit talkin' at the players like a true Steelers fan:

I cuddled with T during her nap and enjoyed every second of it since it won't be long before I have 3 babies to cuddle:

Ed even snuck in some cuddles after her nap:

Tenley helped Daddy put together the twins sleepers and pack n play:

Until next week! :)
