Weekly Update

Pearl and I had the best view Monday morning as we watched the diaperless (giving it another go!) twins play with their water toys while Tenley was at her preschool program rehearsal:

They were just the cutest as they pushed each other down the slide (if you look closely you'll see Ev giving Wes the boot with her foot). Wes insisted on Ev sitting on his lap as they went down together and kept saying, "Ev. Lap. Brudder." These are little snapshots of memories that I want to keep in my mind forever:

I went to my 50th Pure Barre class Monday night and got to sign the 'Founding Fifty' board:

Tenley woke up super nervous for her program Tuesday morning, but as it got closer she got excited for us to see her on stage:

Their program was all about putting on a happy face; it was just the cutest program (they even made their happy face shirts):

I taped Tenley doing her speaking part, but you can't hear it over the wind; which is ironic because Tenley had another part in the program- she was 'windy' for their weather song:

(This was my favorite song; I loved the sign language!)

Tenley had been bummed that her grandparents weren't going to be at her program to cheer her on, so my heart melted when her friend, Addysen, started chanting her name as she received her certificate:

Tenley's teachers have been phenomenal and we are so fortunate that they helped shape Tenley's little mind this year. She did ah-mazing and we couldn't be any more proud of her progress this year:

That afternoon T and I baked chocolate chip cookies to bring to school the following day to thank all of her teachers. Tenley loves to bake and insisted on doing everything herself; which made the cookies extra delicious:

Tenley and Wes snuggled Wednesday morning before she headed off to her last day of preschool before summer break:

It amazes me how much she has changed since her first day back in September. Althrough her looks have changed she is sill the sassiest thing I've ever seen:

She was so excited about her last craft of the school year and I can't wait to hang this one in her room:

The twins went to Aunt Linday's Thursday morning so that Tenley could have a cavity filled. I knew they were in good hands because Linds had an extra helper- Frankie. The twins loved having him around and Wes kept saying, "Big. Dog. Pet.":

Meanwhile Tenley was not phased by the sedative at the Dentist's office. She was still playing in the waiting room and as talkative as ever. The sweet dental assistant really calmed her and helped her feel comfortable with the laughing gas. Once it finally relaxed her she was even more hilarious; which I didn't even think was possible. I'm so proud of her for being SO brave:

After an eventful morning, I only managed to get Wes to nap:

Wes woke up super silly Friday morning and insisted on wearing chili pepper glasses and a huge smile ALL morning:

We met Courtney and Geni at the splash pad Friday afternoon for some fun in the sun. The kids were all over the place in the beginning, but then they finally stayed in one area so I got to snuggle precious baby Perry while the kids played:

Tenley woke up Saturday with an awful sounding cough and I woke up feeling like I was coming down with something, too. Good thing there wasn't basketball this week because of the holiday! She was upset about missing dance, but I didn't want to risk spreading her cough when the girls have recital pictures soon. I decided to try to sweat it out and I'm so glad I did because not only did I leave feeling a million times better, but I also broke my calorie record:

We had a lot to do to prepare for our family photos with Jasmyn on Sunday, but we couldn't get Wes to wake up from his nap for anything:

We should've taken that as a sign that he wasn't feeling good because he woke up feeling awful on Sunday and was puking all over the place. Poor guy couldn't function so we cancelled photos and focused on nursing him back to health:

I had planned little surprise gifts for the kids after photos, but since we weren't doing those anymore and we needed them to play quietly we gave the girls their princess makeup anyways. It was a lifesaver because it kept them occupied all day:

Wes wasn't getting any better throughout the day. He couldn't keep anything down and was super lethargic. As soon as Goodnight Pediatrics opened, Ed took Wessie Boy in. Doc said he had this awful stomach bug that has been going around. He gave him Zofran to ease his nausea and then gave him some pedialyte:

Back at home, the girls and I had dinner together and they were excited to shower since Wes wasn't home (Wes prefers baths and freaks when the shower turns on and splashes him):

Just before bed Ev started acting weird and I noticed that she was on fire...I guess it was only a matter of time until she caught it. On a happy note, our newest niece was born this Sunday! We are praying everyone gets better quickly because I need to snuggle that nugget ASAP.

Until next week (when Grammy and Pop Pop come to the rescue)! :)
