A Real Life Princess Was Born

Everyone knows I'm not the biggest fan of pink or princesses for that matter. So naturally I just assumed Tenley would be a Tom Boy, like I was, but I forget that she doesn't have 3 older brothers, like I do.

Well, let me just say...this chick is far from being a Tom Boy. My little munch is totally a girly girl and as hard as it is for me to admit it, I am really loving it (even the massive amount of pink). So when I heard that there was going to be a 'Disney on Ice' show dedicated to princesses I knew we had to go. All week Ed and I kept telling her that we were going to see the princesses...we were all pretty excited.

When we got to the Thomas and Mack we were greeted by mass amounts of booths selling all things Mickey, Minnie and Princesses...Tenley was in total heaven. I asked Ed what we should buy Tenley and he replied, "get her whatever you want." Talk about the best Daddy, right?! (She is just too spoiled.) So we bought her some lemonade, cotton candy, a light-up princess wand and this adorable princess crown (duh!):

We made our way to our seats and waited for the show to start:

Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald kicked off the show and Tenley started to clap and bounce around...

She had SO much fun watching the characters skate on the ice:

My favorite was Cinderella...

...while Tenley (and the crowd) really liked Repunzel:

We could not believe how good Tenley was. Yeah, she attempted to rush the ice from time to time and I nursed her twice during the show, but she was so good! Just seeing her reaction to Mickey in the very beginning was totally worth it! I could have left right then and been satisfied because of how much joy I saw in her face. Watching 'Disney on Ice' with my little babe on my lap while she wore her princess crown and waved her princess wand just melted my heart and I can honestly say that I believe it only added to her love for princesses- a real life princess was born that night.

(Now I am even more excited to go see Yo Gabba Gabba!! That is going to be so fun/WEIRD!!)

Weekly Update

Tenley continues to master her spoon skills (while looking totally adorable):

Tenley typically sleeps in her crib from around 7:30pm to anywhere from 5-7am (unless she is cutting a tooth, then she may be up for good at 5am). Once she cries to let me know she's up I bring her in bed with me to nurse her and then I usually lay there and watch her sleep until around 8am. This is my favorite part of the day:

(Sorry the pics are so dark, but I didn't want the flash to wake her.)

She watched Yo Gabba Gabba with Dolly:

Her bestie came over and Karina pushed them around on the Minnie Mouse rider...

...then Tenley decided she wanted to push Sofs:

(Sorry they're blurry, but girlfriend was moving!!)

Karina even got it on video:
(Love those girls!!)

Tenley decided she was against wearing pants:

She continues to be a big help around the house:

I've been trying all kinds of different meats to try to get this kid to eat meat, but she won't budge (she'll only eat rotisserie chicken). Ed grilled filet mignon from Whole Foods while I baked sweet potatoes and asparagus and that crazy girl only ate the veggies! If you don't like filet from Whole Foods I'm pretty sure it's hopeless because that it just delicious...she just laughed at me the whole time:

Tenley tried getting Daddy to stay home from work by stealing his safety glasses:

She took massive bites of my breakfast wrap from 'Rachel's Kitchen'...

...she then went into a food coma and even kisses from Daddy couldn't wake her...

...once we got home she was in such a silly mood:

Tenley insisted on having breakfast with Violet on Sunday:

I made Grandma Rita's homemade stuffed cabbage recipe for dinner and it turned our delicious:

(Tenley only ate the potatoes...)

Until next week! :)

Weekly Update

We started the week by celebrating New Years Eve and Tenley was excited for 2013...

...the sad thing about New Years day was that my in-laws were headed back to Ohio that afternoon. A whole 2,217.17 miles away from us (yes, I googled it to be exact). Our house is just not the same without them around. I love hearing the way Tenley giggles when she plays with her Grammy and I love how she brings her toys to her Gramps to play. Also, one morning my car didn't start and my father-in-law helped me get my car jumped, followed me to the dealership, brought me home, and to top it off while I relaxed at home they picked my car up on their way back to our house. I mean, they are just too kind. I am beyond blessed to have them in my life and even more happy that Tenley has them in her life. There is nothing Ed or I can ever say or do to show them how much we appreciate them. We will miss them more then they will everrrrr know.
(Just move here already. Like, for realzzzzz.)

Tenley was so exhausted from her grandparents visit that she passed out in her practically camo jammy jams that night:

She watched 'Yo Gabba Gabba' in her Benz with the Gabba gang:

She went a lil' nuts on her Minnie Mouse rider:

She has been such a big helper with her Minnie Mouse vacuum:

She has been feeding Pearl non-stop...we can't tell if Tenley really loves Pearl so she shares food with her or whether she is feeding her because she's inflicting a slow death on her poor, weak stomached "goggie":

My mother-in-law texted me this picture of Ed when he was 2...

...doesn't she look just like her Daddy?! I always told Ed I hoped our kids had his looks so I'm really glad she is starting to take after him as well!

I tried to make myself look presentable one morning and this is how Tenley entertained herself while I got ready:

Tenley discovered a music channel with the remote and couldn't help but dance (one of her favorite things to do):

Grammy taught her 'Ring Around The Rosie' and it's all she wants to do now:

Tenley has grown really attached to her Cabbage Patch Kid who we named "Dolly":

I turned 26 and had a great birthday!

Tenley waited for Ed and I while we got ready to go to breakfast on Sunday:

She had fun drawing on 'The Cracked Eggs' menu:

She watched Daddy take down the Christmas lights:

I made meatloaf and mashed potatoes for dinner and Tenley decided to be a big girl and start using a spoon (and no she didn't eat the meatloaf):

Until next week! :)
