Weekly Update

Sadly, there's no Ohio in this blog, but Jill did send me this gem to remind me of how cool we were back in the day...forget the duck face, we started the no teeth smile:

This week is the start of dance and Tenley honestly couldn't be any more excited for her 3rd year of dance. She has really been pumping Ev up about it and showing her some moves:

After a mini dance sesh, the kids got ready to go shopping for dance shoes. Of course, Ev piled on the accessories and looked cute as a button:

Wes has been missing Jill and her fantastic peek-a-boo skills and I've been putting in overtime trying to get him to laugh at my peek-a-boos:

The car seats were a mess from traveling and since we were stuck home, I washed them and the kids had fun playing "Ohio" with their babies:

We've been glued to the Rio Olympics; which only fueled Tenley's need to start gymnastics. She's starting in a week and is so excited! She practiced her moves with Evie and I was dying:

The kids are finally feeling better so we played outside Wednesday morning. Tenley stuck to the swing, while the twins practiced their shapes with rocks and played in their fort:

Lindsay made me the cutest business and 'Give it A Glow' cards; which got me so excited to start getting them out there. The kids had so much fun helping me package up samples. I had a little assembly line going and the twins had fun counting...1 paste, 1 blue 1 silver and Tenley loved hole punching my cards. It was so much fun to get them involved and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out:

(Thanks, Linds! You da best!)

Since the kids helped me so much, I took them to the park for a bit and it was crazy how big they looked as they played:

After the park, we picked up Pearl to take her to the groomers. Then, we delivered some Rodan + Fields samples as a family:

The twins were pooped after our busy morning:

We spent Friday morning with the Venturino girls. The kids played so well together while I stuffed my face with Karina's homemade banana bread (my freaking weakness):

Saturday was a big day for Ev- her first day of dance! She is in the same class that Tenley started in 2 years ago, Tappin' Tutus and was SO excited. She looked so freakin' adorable in T's old dance leo:

I tried getting a pic of Tenley since it was her first day, too, but Ev was too excited and wouldn't allow me to snap a pic without her:

Miss Cherity recognized Evie from all the times she barged into T's class and was excited to have her in class. Ev was so excited and hung on every word that Miss Cherity said. I was so proud of her and am so excited to see how she grows with dance this year:

The girls have an hour between their classes and since Ed was working, I took the kids to the grocery store in between classes (1 less thing to do later, I thought). The twins were so exhausted that I hardly got to watch T's dance class. She moved up to the Kid's Combo class and I'm really looking forward to her learning more technical skills this year:

The twins absolutely fell apart half way through T's class. Ev was pissed she wasn't in the class with Tenley and Wes was just too tired. If it's any indication of how well the class went, I lost Wes and was walking around the studio calling for him, then I heard him yell, "Mommy! Me went poop in da potty!" There he was, pants around his ankles, pooping with the door open. I mean, at least he was on the potty, right? When we got home Ev refused to take off her dance get-up. She was foaming at the mouth and banging her head on everything. She was so pissed that she literally pissed her tutu while throwing herself around in her bed:

After such an awful afternoon, I called up Karina and told her I was kidnapping her. We went down to The Fashion Show Mall and wondered around Anthropologie for hours imagining the wardrobe we'd have if we were rich. It was a great little get-a-way and I, of course, took some of my frustration out at Lululemon:

I got some more "me" time Sunday morning and it was great. Courtney and I went for a coffee & Pure Barre date; which in my mind, is the perfect start to any day! After barre, we took the kids to Yogurtland for their favorite treat:

We planned on going to see 'The Secret Life of Pets', but it was packed so we went home and watched a movie with our favorite pet- Pearl:

Until next time! :)
