Weekly Update

(Be prepared for a ton of pictures in this 'Weekly Update' because our families are still in town; which means picture overload.)

While Tenley was off at school, Evie took a long nap while I got in some alone time with my Wessie Boy who looked so stinkin' adorable in his new hat from Grandma Cath:

After Tenley got home form school we went to Town square to play and the kids had so much fun playing with their grandparents and Great Aunt Jewie. The babies loved the slides and watching their big sister explore the playground. Wes especially loved watching the loud planes fly overhead and grunted every time he heard them:

While at Town Square, everyone (minus myself) hitched a ride on the train and had a ball riding around:

Later that night, we got Metro Pizza and watched the Buckeyes win the National Championship:

That night, my mom and Aunt Jul went to their favorite Vegas show, Raiding the Rock Vault, and my mom got to meet the man of her dreams- White Snake guitarist, Doug Aldrich:

I spent some time outside with Tenley and Wesley Tuesday morning while Everly took an early morning nap:

Once Evie woke up we went to pick up my mom and Aunt Julie, then headed to Hidden Falls Park for some play time:

Tenley learned about the letter 'O' at school Wednesday morning, but more importantly she said she learned about Ursula who is an "ottapuss". She also added to her alphabet train:

Tenley and Ev both had on "NaMay green" and Tenley insisted I take pictures of them:

(I love this picture because they have the same exact expression and look identical!)

The weather was gorgeous Wednesday afternoon so we played outside for a bit:

That night, Tenley was so excited to have Great Aunt Jewie braid her hair for dinner:

We all met at the Sugar Factory in the Paris hotel and had a great dinner together. I had the most delicious turkey pot pie and a few sips of my father-in-laws massive mojito goblet. All the kids were so well behaved, probably because they knew they were going to the candy store with their grandparents afterwards:

Unfortunately, the Moose Man was up until 11:13pm because he fell asleep on the way to the Strip that night. All of our kids could never nap after 4pm or they'd be up all night and tonight was no exception...he was ready to party:

I was so sleepy on Thursday that I declared it a lazy day and wore my new glasses to Tenley's dance class. I really love them because they have transition lenses:

Tenley was thrilled that her grandparents were going to watch her dance and, as always, she was stoked to see her bestie:

Girlfriend was very theatrical and put on a show for her visitors:

She was even Line Leader for the very first time this week:

She got to show off her balance beam skills and her best move- the mermaid pose:

She had a really good class...on point with every single move for the first 15 minutes, then on to being very self involved with the mirror, but she still managed to do well. She especially loves freestyle at the end of class and at the end of this class they got to freestyle to 'Let it Go' and girlfriend was legit in her glory. Like, belted out every single word:
(Ms Cherrity came up to me after class and said she sees theatre in Tenley's future!)

These little ballerinas did not want to say goodbye to each other. They love dancing together and I'm so glad they get to have this experience together:

Friday night we all went to my father-in-law's (and everyone's) favorite BBQ joint, Lucille's Bar-B-Que, for some good ol' Southern cooking, then a quick walk around The District since Evie had a little fever from teething:

(Poor girl! So not like her to put up a fuss about anything...dang molars!)

We had tickets to the latest Disney on Ice show at the Thomas & Mack with the entire fam. Naturally, I got the kids dressed to the nines (it's kind of my dream to be a child stylist). Luckily, the twins still fit into their Mickey and Minnie outfits from Disneyland and my girl Veronica at Shelby Chic Boutique sent me the cutest Minnie ears for our next Disney trip; which was a perfect surprise for Disney on Ice (thanks, Veronica!). I hate to break it to the real Mickey and Minnie Mouse, but this Mickey and Minnie were way cuter:

Tenley was in her element when we arrived and had to scope everything out before the show. Fortunately, I ran into my friend, Whitney, and she snapped this cute pic of Tenley and I:

This was the twins first show and they were taking it all in and loving it, just like their big sis who's jaw was firmly planted on the floor the entire show. It was a fun show watching the characters travel through all the different holidays and cultures and I'm so glad we got to do it with the whole family:

While the twins napped after the show, my awesome in-laws went to the new (first and only) Handel's that opened in Summerlin and got us all our favorite ice cream:
(Thanks so much!! The cotton candy and peanut butter parfait was on point!! How funny is it that the guy that opened this Handel's was my manager when I used to work at Abercrombie & Fitch at The Southern Park Mall when I was 18?! I mean, talk about a small world. People from Ohio doing BIG things!!)

Unfortunately our family's vacation came to an end and we had to say our goodbyes to everyone. We had such a blast with everyone and were so sad to see them go. The kids truly had a blast with them and are going to miss playing with them everyday. Not sure when we'll be seeing them again, but we're already looking forward to the next visit that is guaranteed to be just as fun! Love and miss you all already!

Ev wasn't too thrilled about everyone leaving either because she didn't want to go to bed so she stayed up and watched TV with Ed and I:
(Ok, I think it's safe to say she looks just like me in this picture!)

Staying up late really tired her out because she slept in super late Sunday morning:

Amy was also in town for her cousin Heather's bachelotte party so I took the afternoon off to spend time down on the Strip with them for a bit and had such a blast! We went to the outlet mall to do some shopping where Amy and I bought matching Kate Spade wallets for a bargain of $40 and I drooled over some handbags. Then, we went to the Downtown Container Park and ate at The Perch. I had such a blast with the girls and haven't laughed that hard in such a long time. There is just something about my friendship with Amy that is so comfortable. I can always let loose and be myself around her and it feels great. It was an amazing day:

(Love and miss you already, lovey! Come back soon!!)

Then, it was back to my beautiful reality full of lots of cute butts to scrub:

Until next time! :)
