I had a custom "year round" wreath made from a local Etsy shop, 'Teal and Orange', and it turned out perfectly:
Tenley was so excited about school on Monday. She looked too adorable not to take a picture in front of the new wreath:
While T was at school, I got Wes down for a nap without any problems, but Ev would not unlatch from me so after over a year of not taking a pacifier I snuck one in on her so that I could have a minute to myself. She slept so peacefully with the bubba in:
After their nap they were all smiles:
We went to the Rices on Tuesday and the kids had so much fun playing together. It was so interesting seeing the twins actually play with the girls, too. I was also shocked to see them scurry up the stairs so quickly:
Climbing up and down those stairs really tired Wes out:
Unfortunately, nothing tires Tenley out so I convinced her to sit on the couch and "relax" with me (since we're still anti-iPad). While we relaxed I admired her beautiful natural curls. She always tells me, "Mommy, look at me curly! (That perfect one by her eye.) It make me Princess, juss like Rapunzel.":
While Tenley was at school on Wednesday, I got in some play time with the twins- peek-a-boo with my Wessie Boy and dress-up with my Evie Cakes:
We got tired of giving 2 sets of baths (Tenley first, then the twins) so everyone has been getting a bath all at once for awhile now and most nights it's an absolute shit show, some nights it's rather calm, but every night is fun with these three crazies:
Evie took a quick early morning nap on Thursday; which put her in a great mood before we had to leave for sissy's dance class:
Tenley was so excited for dance class and talked about it all week. Maybe a little too excited because she seemed a little distracted during class, but still had fun dancing with her friends:
When Linds and I signed the girls up we were anticipating what the girls recital costume and song would be. I was reallllly hoping it would be something from 'The Little Mermaid', but they'll be dancing to 'It's a Small World' in adorable floral costumes, that I will kept a secret until the recital. I can't wait to see Tenley's class dance together- they are so cute. July 11th can't come soon enough!
The twins forced some snuggles out of Pearl after Tenley's dance class:
Ev and Wes played with Wes' tool bench:
Every night we struggle to keep Ev awake during dinner. Girlfriend can fall asleep mid-chew:
We got a little silly after dinner:
I tried putting Wes down for a nap Friday morning, but he wasn't having it. Tenley insisted on giving it a try, "I wock Moosey, mommy. Get on me lap, brudder. Shhhhhh! Shhhhhh! No. Sleep. Shhhhhhhh! Moosey no nap like me, mommy.":
I finally got both twins to nap simultaneously in the afternoon; which NEVER happens so I tried to take advantage of it and focus on trying to get Tenley to nap. I brought her in my bed and cuddled with her and played with her hair like we always used to do and she looked at me, giggled and said, "are we trying to nap, mommy?":
After that failed attempt, Tenley took selfies to text Isla to cheer her up since she was sick:
The twins looked absolutely adorable in their Valentine jammies Saturday morning:
(Thanks, Sam! These jammies are so, SO cute!!)
I baked smash cakes for the twin's first birthday cake smash pictures:
We went to Floyd Lamb State Park Sunday morning to take family pictures for Everly & Wesley's first birthday and Ev passed out as soon as we started driving home:
While I cleaned up the kitchen after dinner, I heard Tenley say, "I better wear my goggles in da pool!" and saw this going on:
...never a dull moment with these kids!!
Until next time! :)
