Weekly Update

The kids weren't feeling their best Monday, but I still managed to get some smiles out of them:

Tenley was so stuffy and coughing up a storm so she just wanted to cuddle with her buddy and play with sticker books:

Ev got worse as the day went on. She was so stuffy that whenever she sneezed her snot would reach the floor. Needless to say, we went through several outfit changes. It started to seem like we were playing dress-up; which actually perked little Miss Thang up:

That night we had tacos for dinner and the twins were not into it since they could hardly breathe and, per usual, Ev fought falling asleep in her highchair:

Tenley slept until 9:30am on Tuesday so the twins and I got in lots of alone time before she woke up:

Wes and Ev do a daily preventative breathing treatment and while I was giving Wes his breathing treatment Ev was nibbling on his toes; which made him so giggly:

Poor Wes was feeling pretty lousy Tuesday night and just wanted to lay on the couch and cuddle:

Tenley was all better by Wednesday and was back to school. While she was at school, the twins decided to pass out 30 minutes before it was time for us to go pick her up (I hate when that happens!):

I could not get the twins to take another nap for the life of me! I tried everything, but nothing worked:

Since Tenley was feeling better I braved dance class with the kids, but hardly got to watch T dance because the kids were not happy in the stroller so I was chasing them everywhere. I was bummed because they put on wings and danced to TinkerBell, but I only got to see her dance for a few seconds:

It was so nice out that I couldn't keep the kids inside, even though the twins were still sick and hacking up their lungs. Tenley desperately wanted to "do bubballs" outside for a little bit and every time she blew bubbles she screamed, "HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!" It was so cute:

Ev wasn't too happy when we came inside and it took a lot to calm her down:

After sleep training the twins last week, then dealing with the kids being sick, it has been a rough few weeks around here so I was very happy when Ed surprised me with these beauties:

Since Tenley missed last weeks dance class we joined Saturday's class for a make-up sesh; which just so happened to be 'Favorite Costume Day' for Spirit Week. Although I was sick, I brought Tenley to class while Ed stayed home with the twins because I was contemplating switching her to Saturdays so I could have Ed to help. Tenley did much better in this class because the class is a bit more organized since it has a student teacher. She kept asking for Isla and all her other buddies so I couldn't bear to switch her. In the meantime, she had fun dressing up for her make-up class and learning some new dance moves:

We FaceTimed with Grammy and Pop-Pop Saturday afternoon, while the kids opened their Valentines:

Tenley's MagiClip and Glitter Glider collection is almost complete:
(Thanks, Grammy and Pop-Pop! Love you both!)

We spent the whole day relaxing around the house and the kids went from room to room goofing off together. There's absolutely nothing I'd rather do than watch these three play together all day:

While playing, I heard Tenley mumbling something and realized that she was actually saying her version of the Pledge of Allegiance:

Tenley broke into the sugar cookies that Grammy baked for her on Sunday morning. She left a good chunk of cookie in her kitchen and, of course, the Moose Man found it and went to town:

I was still feeling awful so Ed did the grocery shopping for the week with Tenley and she was so excited to go shopping with Daddy:

About 15 minutes after they left both of my baby burritos woke up and wanted to play so we played lots and lots of peek-a-boo and fetch with Pearl:

Tenley was so excited to see her sister when she got home and really wanted to take care of me:

Even when my days are rough, I'm sick and just want to give up it's my kids smiles that get me by. It's a tough job, but smiles like these are totally worth it:

I thought this was the perfect quote to end my week. Never give up because family is always, ALWAYS worth the struggle.

Until next week! :)
