While Tenley was at school on Monday, the twins skipped their naps in favor of exploring in the backyard, shooting some hoops and chalkin' up the patio:
While the babes napped, Tenley read 'Hug Time' from Grammy & Pop-Pop:
When Ed got home from work he grilled cheeseburgers and the kiddos, of course, had to join him outside:
On Tuesday, Tenley had so much fun putting together her Valentine's for her party at school on Wednesday:
The Valentine's must've had her feeling all sorts of mushy because she held Moosey Man down and smothered him with kisses:
Wes has been obsessed with hats for quite some time now, but his current obsession is balls. He is always running around the house looking for his ball saying, "ba? ba?", holding them in his hand and occasionally eating meals with them:
Ev tried on sissy's fairy wings and looked so sweet in them:
Ev and Wes love chasing each other under the kitchen table and it didn't end well when Wes sneezed and smacked his head on one of the table legs; which split his eyelid. My tough boy whimpered for a second and continued playing (even though I freaked):
Tenley must've been exhausted from making her Valentine's because she took a nap for the first time in, oh, months so I obviously had to document it:
Tenley woke up very excited for the Valentine's party at school on Wednesday and shared her excitement with Evie:
She picked out her dress for school because it "had hearts for Valentime's Day". After she was dressed she said, "Mommy, can you take me picture outside? I look like such a pretty Princess." She truly did and was so proud to carry the bag she decorated for her Valentine's:
While my little love bug was off at school, the twins decided they'd rather cuddle than nap, but quickly decided they made the wrong choice and passed out:
Tenley brought home this adorable Valentine's bag full of goodies from her friends and Ms Marsha said she had a lot of fun with the glue on this project:
She had to show me every Valentine and tell me all about it- it was the cutest:
I don't know what is in the air these days, but for the second day in a row TENLEY NAPPED (say what?!?!):
She napped so good that I even had to wake her for Ev and Wes' 12 month well-check (even though they are over 13 months old). The appointment went great and the babes are surpassing all of their milestones. Ev is 18 pounds and 29.5 inches tall and Wes weighs 24 pounds and is 31 inches tall. Both are walking around like crazy and babbling up a storm. Both babes are now up to date on their shots and big sister read them books to make them feel better:
Tenley continued to be obsessed with her classroom Valentine's Thursday morning:
Thursday's dance class was celebrating 'Astudia Day' for Spirit Week so Tenley sported maroon tights and a silver sparkle bow in celebration:
Sweet, shy Isla was Line Leader and blew Mason and I away. We were so proud of her confidence:
It's so fun to watch all these girls get better together:
After dance class the twins both took simultaneous naps, while Tenley relaxed in her room (breaking the nap streak!) and I relaxed on the couch:
Wes looked extremely adorable while I chased him around trying to get him dressed for bed...I mean, I can't even get mad at this boy:
We spent Friday morning snuggling on the couch, building tunnels and making Valentine's for Daddy- a perfect day:
While putting Ev in her crib for a nap, I set Wes down and came back to find him and Tenley like this:
Tenley isn't the only one in the family who loves to dance...Wes was playing with Pearl's food mat and discovered that it made a noise when he stepped on it; which instantly turned into a dance party. He. Cracks. Me. Up.
The kiddos woke up to a few little gifts from us for Valentine's Day and Ed even bought me the most perfect coffee cup:
(Thanks, babe!! Love you!!)
While our family was enduring a white-out in Ohio, we picked up heart shaped donuts from Dunkin' and spent the afternoon enjoying the beautiful weather at Acacia Park. We had so much fun watching the kids run around together, make new friends, share their bubbles and donuts:
After the park, the kids opened their Valentine's from Grandma Cath:
(Thanks, Grandma!! We love you!!)
We spent the rest of the day lovin' on each other:
We had a great Valentine's Day. Relaxing days are our favorite, especially when we can all do it together. Hope you all had a day full of love, as well!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Anytime I tell the kids we're going somewhere Tenley insists on taking a picture. Obviously, I don't mind at all, but poor Ev hates it because Tenley is so rough with her. She doesn't mean to be rough, it's just that Ev is so teeny in comparison. Tenley was so excited to take a picture with her sissy Sunday morning and poor Ev couldn't wait to get away from her:
We went to the Gerfy Gender Reveal party Sunday afternoon. Francesca and I were convinced she was having a boy, but...well, look at the pictures for the big reveal:
IT'S A GIRL!!
Congrats you two!! Girls are so much fun and we couldn't be more excited for you both!!
Since the weather was absolutely gorgeous, we played in the backyard for a bit before putting the kids down for their naps:
(I bribbed Tenley with a new bottle of bubbles for this picture!)
Wes was pretty upset that we wanted him to nap that he threw himself on the floor and started crying. Ev, unprovoked, knelt down by him and did this until he was giggling. I mean, I about died. Twin love:
No one wanted to nap on Sunday so it was back to play time. Wes just wanted to make phone calls. I can't help but imagine him saying, "hey, girl":
I'll leave you with this for a little humor:
Until next time! :)
