Since President's Day is a Union holiday for the Local 88, we got to spend the day with Ed (SCORE!!) so we wanted to do something fun and what's more fun than hanging out with the cutest little newborn around? We met Linds and the girls at the park and the kids had so much fun playing in the sunshine, while Ed and I were just so happy to snuggle sweet little Sailor:
(What is it about guys holding newborns that makes them smokin' hot?!)
After the babes napped, I attempted to fold Ed's work clothes, but they decided they'd lay on them and have a giggle sesh:
My mom bought the girls the cutest matching swimsuits from Janie & Jack when she was in town for the twins first birthday and I still haven't tried them on the girls. Tenley found the bag in my closet while I was sorting laundry (it's a daily thing around here) and said she wanted to wear it so I thought "why not!" since I needed to see if it fit anyways. It fit perfectly and she looked so freaking cute:
(Thanks again, Mom!)
While eating dinner Tuesday Tenley shouted, "eww mommy, look! Brudder and sister gots seafood!":
While T was at school on Wednesday Evie napped in her crib while I nursed Wes to sleep in my bed and I couldn't believe how long he looked:
Tenley brought home this super cute tree that she traced from her hand at school on Wednesday:
I got Wes and Ev ready for Tenley's dance class on Thursday and they looked so stinking cute, but it was next to impossible to get a decent picture of them together:
During dance class Linds and I had our hands full so I didn't get many pictures. Luckily, Wes stayed in the stroller the entire time while I chased Evie around:
After dance class, everyone napped AT THE SAME TIME!!!! It had to be documented, obviously:
I think Tenley's nap may have been her body saying she was coming down with something because she woke up stuffy Friday morning (again). While Tenley took it easy, Ev and Wes napped the morning away...so happily, together:
On Saturday, the kids played fetch and tug-of-war with Pearl and had so much fun playing together:
Tenley being a little ball hog:
Before bath time the kids snuggled in our bed and played peek-a-boo:
Then all of a sudden Tenley was crying uncontrollably and did not want to take a bath. She kept saying she was "nervous" so Ed took her out of the tub and brought her into our room to dress her while I occupied the twins. Then, I heard her throwing up (all over Ed, for once). Poor girl was so sweaty and pale and kept having to run to the bathroom for the next hour. It was awful and broke my heart, especially when she would say, "I'm all done. I'm alright!" All she wanted to do was lay on the couch and watch 'Sofia the First' so we gladly put it on for her and I put a cold wash cloth on her head. Ed played with her hair while I held both the twins and she fell asleep within minutes:
She slept straight through the night and woke up feeling a little better, but was still running a fever. She didn't want to eat anything or do anything but lay on the couch with Pearl and read books:
The twins were being their silly selfs and still kept us on our toes:
Wes played with Pearl and I finally caught him saying his favorite word on camera:
Tenley was still boycotting bath time, but I talked her into going "swimming at the beach" and "looking for Ariel". She was so excited that she even wore her bathing suit, brought goggles and binoculars:
Evie skipped her nap that afternoon and couldn't fight falling asleep while resting on me around bedtime. I wanted to keep her up since it was so close to bedtime, but it was impossible to keep her up and I never get to cuddle her like this so I had to take advantage of it:
Until next time! :)
