Last Halloween we weren't sure what size Tenley would be so we figured we could wait until she was born to buy her costume. Little did we know that she was going to be a week late and by then we couldn't find any newborn costumes. We ended up throwing a hat on her and claiming that her first Halloween costume was a kitty cat:
(Just Just 5 days old and already rockin' the chunky cheeks!)
This year, we were a little more prepared and Ed thought Tenley would make an adorable bumble bee. I obviously agreed so I picked out her costume and we we're all set for Halloween!
Since we only got 2 trick-or-treaters last year, we headed to The District for T's first trick-or-treating experience...
...she was in absolute awe of all the princess' and monsters:
...she loved to cut the kids in line to get right to the candy:
...then stare at the treasures she couldn't eat got:
...she kept 'oooo'-ing at the fog and flashing lights:
...then it was time to trick-or-treat at her first (and only) house- Auntie Fran and Uncle Matt's:
...Lola greeted her with kisses (lots and lots of kisses):
...Fran dressed Lola as a witch:
(Seriously?! This is my favorite picture... they are just the cutest!)
...Tenley even tried to teach Lola how to 'stay':
I'd say our Bumble Bee's first "real" Halloween experience was pretty awesome!! We had a blast trick-or-treating at The District and Frannie & Matt's. Tenley was in total trick-or-treat heaven. Baby girl was destined to be born around Halloween- she loves everything about it and can't get enough of the pumpkins and costumes!
Hope everyone had a great Halloween! :)
