So this was supposed to be my last "Weekly Update" as my goal was to just document Tenley's first year of life on this blog and then to only blog milestones and holidays, but when I was taking a video of Tenley this week I was like "What am I going to do with this? It is just going to get lost on my computer." That's when I decided I'm going to keep on trucking! So here is how our week with our 1 year old went down (that still doesn't sound right)...
Grammy and Gramps came to say goodbye to Tenley Bear since their flight was leaving that afternoon, but they got a surprise phone call from Southwest and due to Hurricane Sandy all of our guests were staying one more day- YAYYYY!! Tenley and Gramps celebrated...
Then we went to The Cheesecake Factory with the entire fam:
She goes crazy in her ball pit:
She snuggled so sweetly with me on Halloween morning:
When Daddy got home from work he played hide-n-seek in T's princess fort...
...then it was time to go trick-or-treating!!
Tenley is obsessed with her hot pink pumpkin from Grandma Cathy and carried it around the house for the rest of the week:
Ed and I voted early and technically Tenley voted, too (she was in the ergo!):
After voting, we took T shoe shopping and boy is Ed in TROUBLE... this chick wanted every shoe. She was grabbing every shoe within her reach (especially the sparkly ones) and clapping the entire time. Look at this chick:
TOTAL SHOE HIGH!! If you are looking for good walking shoes for your kiddos Dillard's is the place to go. Tenley was able to easily walk in all of the shoes and wasn't tripping over her feet like she does in her Converses. We ended up buying her a pair of pink Stride Rites and a black pair of Nikes:
She loves to play with her flashing Halloween ball from Great Aunt Jan:
Frannie and Matt came over for some homemade chicken noodle soup and T loved it:

Later that day we met at the pumpkin patch for some fun:

Unfortunately everyone's flight was on time the next day and they were all off to Ohio. Tenley still wakes up from her naps waving expecting to see them, but soon enough we will see Grammy and Gramps again on Christmas morning. What a great way to spend the holiday, right?!
(Miss you all!!)
Since baby turned one she turned into a cuddle monster and comes into our bed every morning and occasionally sucks her thumb; which I think is due to her new molar(s):

(I told you this chick is a total October baby!)
We went to lunch with The Robbins and Tenley discovered that she could eat Olives off her fingers...
(This is the only way she will eat olives now...)
...while at lunch Chelsea gave me/Tenley this beautiful gift:
(I love it and every time Tenley walks into our bedroom she points to it so she must love it, too. Thanks again, Chels- we'll cherish it forever!)

After she had good walking shoes she really took off:
T's obsession with Olives continues... When we are at home she sticks out her finger for me to put on the olive then she takes it to her ball pit to inspect it and eats it in there:
(This girl has real OCD tendencies- it's scary.)

We went to Avery's first birthday party where we had a blast in the bounce house...
(This is a MUST for T's second birthday party!!)
...and T enjoyed the delicious cupcakes:
Tenley spent Sunday cuddling with Daddy and watching her second favorite show- Yo Gabba Gabba:
Until next week! :)
