When I found out I was pregnant I had my "dream" nurseries picked out for both sexes, but when we got hit with the twin curveball it was back to the drawing board. I never imagined I'd be designing a nursery for two, but it has been double the fun!
I knew I wanted the twin's nursery to feel fresh, bright and clean and I absolutely did not want to use the color pink. I also wanted gray and white striped walls. While searching baby bedding online, I fell in love with these wooden 'brother' and 'sister' signs from Pottery Barn Kids that were navy blue and light pink. I became obsessed with them and there went the whole "no pink" thing. It took 3 different purchases of baby bedding until I absolutely fell in love with the 'Harper' line from Pottery Barn Kids. Everything started to come together and we are finally finished (for the most part) with Wes and Ev's nursery.
(Thanks Grammy and Pop-Pop for the beautiful cribs and bedding. It's safe to say these babes will also be spoiled!)
(Beautiful crocheted blankets from Grammy.)
(I owe a BIG thank you to Ed for painting the stripes himself. He amazes me with his handy-man skills and OCD...love you, babe!)
(Signs made by my bestie, Lindsay, at Rice + Rye. Thanks, lovey!!)
Now that the nursery is done, I am beyond ready to rock these babies in our huge, comfy chair and to see them both sleeping in their cribs or sharing one. I can just imagine Wes and Ev resting peacefully in one crib, while Tenley climbs in the other to wake them up to play. Life is truly going to get real interesting around here, but I think we're ready!
Bring on the twins!!
