Tenley received a package from Grammy with stuffed Nativity figures, an ornament and the Mickey Mouse wireless band collection from Hallmark. She, of course, loved the band and her OCD kicked in and she had to line them all up:
Tenley wasn't the only one who received a package that day...my in-laws mailed me one of my favorite sweet treats: Danielle's chocolate covered popcorn (SCORE):
(Thanks!! You two know me so well!! )
Tenley kept lifting my shirt saying, "bay bay" and insisted on giving my belly two kisses:
My belly continues to get heavier and heavier by the minute:
(33 weeks 3 days)
Tenley did not want to nap on Tuesday and when she finally fell asleep I had to wake her up in 20 minutes to go to Lindsay's while I went to the doc:
She woke up in a good mood and was happy to see Lindsay and Isla. She forgot about me the second we walked in the door and began to have fun with her bestie:
We mailed out our Christmas cards; which were absolutely adorable because Lindsay made them:
(Check out Rice + Rye's Facebook page for more of her work!)
We finally finished the twin's nursery.
Tenley danced like a maniac and spotted Santa (or "Iss", as she calls him) on the tree:
All of the dancing really pooped her out and she had to cuddle with Pearl:
We went to Town Square to see Santa and Tenley was super excited about it all day, although she clearly made it known that she would not be sitting on his lap. Santa kept coming out of his house to wave at the kids and Tenley would point with excitement and say, "Iss! Iss!" We had about 4 families in front of us, but the host/elf came out, looked at my big ol' belly and said "come through the back." Woo-hoo for pregnancy perks! As soon as we walked into Santa's house Tenley started to cry and wanted out of there so badly. We all sat on the couch with Santa and Tenley couldn't get away fast enough. Santa got off the couch and said he would photobomb us; which seemed to cheer Tenley up a little:
I was having some hardcore contractions Thursday morning. Every contraction had me bawling so Lindsay and Isla came over to cheer me up and play with Tenley Bear:
Later that day, my nail girl came to the house to give me a mani/pedi:
We received our maternity photos in the mail from Chelsea and are in love with them!
(Check out her Facebook page, Chelsea Robbins Photography, to see more of her work!)
Tenley loved on Pearl Friday morning and they just melted my heart:
Lindsay watched Tenley, while I went to my second appointment of the week:
(Thanks for watching T twice, Linds!)
Both babies had good movement, fluid and practice breathing during my ultrasound. Ev was being super photogenic, as always:
After my ultrasound, I had monitoring and my biggest contraction was a 48...crazzzzzy! In this video you can hear their sweet little heartbeats:
The nurse was concerned about the amount and intensity of the contractions I was having so she did a fetal fibernectin test. Fibernectin is a protein that the babies release when they think it is time to come out. A negative would mean that I would not go into labor in the next 2 weeks and a positive meant my chances of going into labor in the next 2 weeks is 40%. The results were positive; which clarified that I am in preterm labor with the 40% chance of going into actual labor within the next 2 weeks. My doc was not concerned about it. He said if I did go into labor now that they wouldn't do anything to stop it because I've hit the 34 week mark. He suggested I continue to take Procardia, as needed, and continue with my twice weekly monitoring.
Tenley was tired from her busy morning and took a good nap:
When she woke up, Ed took her to her 2 year well check. Of course, he let her have her bubba and do whatever she wanted the entire time since she has him wrapped around her little finger:
Baby girl now weighs 35 pounds and is 36.5 inches tall. Dr. King said she has hit all her milestones and is doing great.
Since Ed felt bad that T got a shot, he took her to Panera for her favs: strawberry smoothie, mac n cheese and an M&M cookie. After their dinner date, they went to Target to buy me a humidifier and Tenley insisted on hugging every ball at the entrance:
Ed had to work on Saturday, again, so it was only natural that something went wrong since he wasn't home. Tenley and I woke up to an ice cold house...61 degrees to be exact! I called my mother-in-law and she helped me figure out what to do. After having someone come look at our unit, they concluded that our inducer motor burned out and we'd be without heat until Monday. We kept warm by snuggling on the couch, bouncing on the exercise ball and cranking up the space heaters that Karina brought over for us:
The space heaters made a big difference (thanks, Karina!), but Pearl kept my belly warm, just in case:
Ed played outside with Tenley, while I wrapped Christmas presents:
After playing outside, Ed and T brought their goofiness inside:
Until next week! :)
