Finally everyone was feeling better and while T was in school, the twins napped so peacefully that I absolutely dreaded waking them to pick her up:
When Tenley got home she was really excited to tell me about how she learned about Pilgrims:
She "babysat" the babes while I folded some laundry:
Wes learned to climb onto the ottoman in our bedroom and continues to climb on Tenley's table:
Tenley taught Evie some dance moves and Wes helped me bake a pumpkin pie:
Grandma Cath bought Tenley the cutest jacket from Target's Annie Collection:
(Thanks, ma!!)
The babes chowed down on some scrambled eggs:
I caught the kiddos rocking in the nursery chair with Daddy:
(I just love that man.)
Evie slept in Wednesday morning and looked like an angel:
Since the twins slept in on Wednesday, we got in some play time:
After playing for a bit we started baking some pumpkin pies; which totally exhausted them just in time to wake them up to pick Tenley up from school:
On Wednesday, Tenley made the letter 'J' for her train (forgot to post 'I' last week) and a "torn-a-topia":
I made the apple pies for Thanksgiving dinner at the Rices and the babies loved being my apple taste testers:
We went to The District Wednesday night to put some things on hold at Janie and Jack for their 'Black Friday' sale and Tenley was obsessed with their big Christmas tree. Naturally, she had to "posies" by it:
We had an amazing Thanksgiving and are so blessed to have shared the holiday with the Rices and their families. Thanks for having us, we love you guys!
We broke out the Christmas decorations Friday and the kids were fascinated with the Christmas tree:
Before actually decorating the tree I entered a contest to win 12 bows from our favorite sparkle bow shop- Shelby Chic Boutique - by decorating the tree with all of our SC bows. Unfortunately, we didn't win, but the girls pic sure was adorable:
Then, it was time to actually decorate the tree! Tenley was really into it this year, except she preferred to pile up the ornaments on one branch until it was completely full, then she'd move on to the next one. Decorating a Christmas tree with three "helpers" is such a task, but Tenley and I finally got it finished:
It's been so long since Tenley's first haircut from Aunt Jewie. We were waiting until she came back in January to get it cut again, but I just couldn't hold out because it was so stringy. So we took her to Sharkey's and she loved it! She sat in the Buzz Lightyear car and watched a Barbie mermaid movie while Kendra cut her hair and put in an adorable braid. Then, she even got her nails painted (which was included!). She had so much fun being pampered:
On the way home, Ed took me past the new addition to St. Rose Hospital that he is working on. He was Foreman-in-Training on the 3rd floor so he's extremely proud of this one (and so am I!):
Evie Cakes is so, so close to taking her first steps:
All of the excitement from almost walking must've excited her because she did not want to sleep that night! She stayed up and partied in our bed, but we didn't mind because, unlike her brother, when she stays up late she is all smiles:
All the kids woke up extremely sick (again!!!) on Sunday, but Wes was the worst. He wasn't eating and could hardly keep his eyes open because he was exhausted from working so hard to breathe. He even drank from a bottle for the very first time towards the end of the night because he was so hungry, but couldn't nurse:
I'll keep you posted on the kids...send prayers their way, please!!
