Tenley was so exhausted from the weekend that I had to wake her for school on Monday:
I took pics of the twins for the back of their birthday card. I won't give away too much info, just think camping, s'mores and adorableness:
I bundled up the twins to pick Tenley up from school and mail out our beautiful Christmas cards that Linds made for us:
(The back had all of our favorite memories/fun pics from the year; which was my favorite part of the card and will probably become a new tradition!)
Tenley made what I believe is a Christmas ornament at school:
She must've missed Moose because she smothered him with kisses when we got home:
Don't be fooled by Ev's sweet little face, her favorite thing to do is to push her little bro (by two minutes) around:
My in-laws sent us our favorite snack, Danielle's popcorn, and it couldn't have come at a better time...Tuesday night a.k.a. #tellerTuesday! We definitely needed a snack because it was the series finale of Sons of Anarchy and we were both devastated. It was great to console ourselves with white chocolate popcorn:
(Thanks guys!! Tenley said, "it's DELICIOUS!!")
Tenley made her 'L' train at school on Wednesday and did a holiday craft:
I made my favorite soup, Olive Garden's Chicken Gnocchi Soup, and the kiddies loved it:
The kids were goof balls at bath time:
Tenley and Wessie Boy got into mischief while Ev slept peacefully Thursday morning:
Tenley was so excited for dance that she was posing up a storm and I even caught her waking her sister up:
Dance class was as adorable as ever! Tenley loves her teacher Charity or as she calls her Miss Cherry and was following all of her instructions (when she wasn't busy checking herself out in the mirror). The girls get better each week and I could watch them all day:
When they did butterfly stretches Tenley told her teacher that her wings were blue and Isla said her wings were black (she is so her momma's daughter!):
They danced to 'Part of Your World' again and Tenley was absolutely in her element:
Charity read them 'The Nutcracker' and they were so into it (Tenley is still talking about it):
The babies were exhausted after watching sissy dance so I had to tandem nurse them when we got home. They have been nursing non-stop throughout the night and I've been so exhausted recently that I've mastered nursing them both while laying down and I love looking down and seeing their legs intertwined:
Grammy and Pop Pop sent the kids a bunch of Disney ornaments so we FaceTimed while Tenley opened them and the twins ate the paper:
(Thanks so much!!)
Tenley was so excited to hang all the ornaments on the tree Friday morning:
The twins played and per usual Wes was getting into everything and had that "it wasn't me!" look on his face (don't worry Wes...with that face I'll never be able to punish you!):
GiGi gave the twins their stockings this year and wanted a picture of the kids with their stockings so I took a million for her:
(Thanks, Gigi!! They are absolutely stunning!! We will treasure them forever!!)
We went to look at Christmas lights Friday night and decided to check out a new house that I found on Facebook- the house on Robindale; which was awesome! Tenley whined the whole time because she wanted to go outside and see it, but I wanted to keep her inside since she was just sick. The babies were fascinated, though. Definitely a must see:
(Sorry about Tenley's whining!)
Then, we made our way to one of our typical stops- Quiver Point; which didn't disappoint. The kids loved it and no one whined this time (yay!):
I went in for a trim on Thursday and my hair was so dry that I ended up leaving with a lot more chopped off; which was a nice change for once! I finally got around to doing it Saturday morning and I'm coming around to the idea of shorter, darker hair:
Tenley has been asking to go see Santa for weeks, but with the babies being so sick we didn't want to risk taking them anywhere. She has been begging to go ask Santa for a singing Elsa doll so since the babies were finally feeling better we took them to see Santa and she was so excited! She walked up to him and gave him a hug and let him pick her up and put her on his lap; which was so surprising since she cried the past two years. When Santa realized that we had twins he asked Tenley if she could sit in the "special seat" next to him and she did. The twins happily sat on his lap and Ev could not stop staring at him. She loved him, while Wes started to whine a little towards the end. After pictures, Santa asked Tenley what she wanted for Christmas and she quickly said, "an Elsa singing doll!" and then he said, "do you know what your brother and sister want?" and she threw her hands in the air as if she were going to say "I don't know" and instead said, "just a toy!" and we all laughed. It was surprisingly a great visit:
We had a relaxing day at home on Sunday:
I mailed out the twins first birthday invitations:
(I can't wait for you to see what's inside...eeeeee!!!!)
Until next week! :)
