The weather was absolutely gorgeous Monday morning so while Tenley was at school, the twins and I played outside. Wes loves to walk around and play with all the balls, while it's next to impossible to keep Ev from shoveling rocks into her mouth:
When Tenley got home from school she made sure Pearl knew just how much she was missed:
Tenley learned more about St. Patrick's Day at school and Mrs. Marsha got her really riled up about finding the real life version of her sneaky leprechaun- Luis. She kept saying things like, "did you hear that? I think I heard Luis. He's a sneaky snook." And the best was when she asked, "is it going to rain soon so we can search for Luis at the end of the rainbow?" I'm really going to miss having little Luis around:
Welp, Tuesday A.K.A. St. Patrick's Day came and we still didn't find Luis around the house, but all the searching must've tired the twins out:
I dressed Tenley in the only green thing in her closet for St.Patty's and I don't know if she learned about how Irish people often have red hair at school or something, but she insisted on wearing her Ariel wig that Linds made her. She looked like the sweetest little leprechaun:
Grammy ordered Wes some of the cutest construction and "boy" books from Barnes and Noble and had them shipped directly to us. When I got word that the books arrived, I loaded the kids in the wagon and went to get the mail. This is how I have to do it with the three kiddos:
After our wagon ride, the kids relaxed with Pearl:
While Tenley was at school Wednesday morning, the babes and I took the car to get washed since we were drowning in goldfish crackers and puffs. The kiddos were so good and Wes even made out with a pretty rad light saber:
We had some time to spare before we had to pick up sis so we went home to play in the backyard a bit:
Tenley brought home two crafts on Wednesday: her 'U' train and a "yucky bug jar with grass":
As soon as Tenley was done telling me about what she learned and the kids were done eating their lunch, it was lights out for the babes:
The Venturino gals came over Thursday morning and the girls played dress-up, obvi. Sofia looked gorge as a red-headed Snow White:
The twins went down easy for their nap and Wes was cracking me up because he is so big that he does not fit in his swaddle at all and his little hands were perfectly placed on his chunky thighs:
After naps we got ready for an appointment and the kids looked adorable as they played and were being so silly:
The twins will now kiss each other on command; which is the cutest thing ever. I was trying to get a pic of them kissing, but they weren't cooperating so Tenley tried bringing Evie to Wes:
Ev and Wes read books together before bath time:
Grammy and Pop Pop came for a quick visit and we were all so excited to see them, especially the kids. And you know they came prepared with treats for all of them:
(Thanks for the goodies!! That dress is to die for!!)
(My mother-in-law brought aprons from Grandma Dee for the girls and Ev loved wearing hers while cooking for Grammy. Thanks, Grandma Dee!!)
Once the kids were done cooking for Grammy, they went and played in the backyard with Grammy and Pop Pop:
The twins napped while my in-laws went to visit with my niece, but Wes must've been too excited because he didn't want to nap for too long and just wanted to cuddle and eat, while Tenley looked gorgeous as she played dress-up in her new Cinderella dress:
We met the fam at Town Square for dinner at Brio, then some fun at the playground:
Grammy and Pop Pop met us at Tenley's dance class Saturday morning and she had a really good class. She follows the instructions really well, but is a little delayed with following through. I'm extremely proud of her for following through and listening. I never thought I'd be able to do these things with her, but she is improving so much:
Ed and I even got in some precious Sailor cuddles:
After dance, we were back at it in the backyard:
That night we met at The District for some fun and dinner at Lucille's, of course:
The kids got a little messy at dinner and the twins loved when their cousin played peek-a-boo with them:
The twins woke up at 4:30am Sunday morning. Luckily, they were easily entertained with 'Frozen' and touch and feel books because I was a zombie:
Later that day, we took the kids to see the Easter Bunny with Grammy and Pop Pop and Tenley was SO excited:
She was not scared at all and ran right up to him. Oops, I mean her. This bunny was a female. She sat right next to her and was cheesin' up a storm. She made sure the Easter Bunny knew she wanted a Belle Glitter Glider, but she was really hard to find. She was the sweetest thing and the twins could just careless. The guy taking the pictures forgot to set the camera to save to his USB so I only got the pics from my iPhone and the ones he printed so the quality isn't so hot, but you can still tell how excited Tenley was:
(This is when she was telling me how the Easter Bunny wanted to come home with us.)
Wes and Pop Pop hung out outside while our pictures printed:
After meeting the Easter Bunny we walked over to The Cheesecake Factory. The kids ran around and played on the benches while we waited for our table:
(Love this picture!)
We had such a great week and an even better weekend with our family! Good new is, we still have one more day with them!
Until next time! :)
