Weekly Update

Tenley's hair is getting so long (for her anyways) and I'm finally able to braid it so it's out of her face. I'm awful at the whole french braiding thing, but I am getting better:

Tenley was very excited about going to school because she knew it was one step closer to seeing Grammy and Pop Pop later:

While Tenley was at school, the Rice chicks came over and Wes and Ev showed them how they learned to kiss on command:

The twins were playing with bunny ears so we took them to go pick up Tenley from school and Tenley made sure they wore them when she got in the car:

(Poor Moose.)

Tenley showed off her volcano she made at school or as she called it a "fire mountain":

We spent that afternoon hanging out with Grammy and Pop Pop before they headed back to Ohio. It's never easy saying goodbye to them, especially when Tenley is so vocal about how she doesn't want them to leave, but the good news is that we planned their next trip already and it's a GOOD one!! On May 16th, my in-laws and mom are flying to Vegas together and all of us, in addition to my brother-in-law and his family, are driving to California on the 17th. To top it off my brother Mike will be in LA so he'll be meeting us at Newport Beach Sunday morning! I mean, I am just soooo excited!! Then we'll be taking over Disneyland Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Ed and I had planned on going with the kids for our 5 year anniversary and decided to invite our in-laws since they always come to Vegas in May. This way we had someone to watch the kids so we could go out and actually celebrate us. It's turned into a snowball of invitations and we couldn't be more excited for this trip! Tenley can not stop naming all the people who are coming with us and is so excited to meet the Princesses with her cousin. I have a feeling this next visit with our families is going to be the best one thus far! May 17th can't come soon enough!

I got the kids ready to meet the Rices at the park Tuesday morning and Tenley put the bunny ears on Evie again and they matched her outfit perfectly and she looked stunning, as always:

It was a cloudy day, but the kids still ran amuck:

We were practicing ABC's, #'s and shapes with the girls and I pointed to the rectangle and asked Tenley what shape it was and she said, "ummm a big iPad!" Linds and I were cracking up. I could watch these kids play together all day:

Tenley has been asking for a Belle dress for months now and that night we got a surprise package from Great Aunt Jewie that just made Tenley's day:
(Thanks so much Aunt Jul!! We love you!!)

Tenley had an Easter Egg Hunt at school on Wednesday and they made carrot baskets to put their eggs in. Tenley was really proud of it because it "holds me candies":
(She picked out her outfit...isn't it cute?! Little Fashionista.)

Although Tenley was having a good day the babes were not feeling it. I've said it before and I'm positive I'll say it again, the only thing worse than one teething baby is two teething babies. They literally cried from the time they woke up (at 4:30am) to the time I gave up and put them in Wes' crib together and let them cry themselves to sleep because I just couldn't take it anymore (I know, I'm awful...). They are truly such good babies that I shouldn't complain, but they have honestly been waking at 4:30 or 5am for the past week and it's starting to get to me. When I saw them asleep on the monitor I literally jumped with joy, but then realized that I still had Tenley to entertain. At least I got to peek in an see this sweet view:

Even after a little nap, Wes was still a grumpy bear:

Since the kids were having such a rough day, the kids opened up their Easter gifts from Grammy and Pop Pop to cheer them up and it totally worked:

(Thanks, Grammy & Pop Pop!! We love you!!)

Tenley looked beautiful in her new Belle dress:

Wes is such a sweet momma's boy, but yet so independent that it breaks my heart. He loves feeding himself and started insisting on giving himself his daily breathing treatment; which makes him so proud:

So I have a little secret that I think is safe to finally talk about. A friend of mine, Andrea, has a lot of connections in the modeling scene and she cc'ed me on an e-mail to her friend  saying that she had to see my twins because they would make great models. Her friend told her that a woman named Mari-Rene was in charge of the kids division and it just so happened that Andrea knew her and she got me in contact with her. We've been working with her ever since last October so major, major thank you to Andrea for getting us in contact!! So far Ev will be on Halloween packaging in October as a black kitty, an owl and Woodstock and Wes will be on the Halloween packaging as Snoopy. They have not released the photos yet so as soon as I get them and know the stores you can bet your butt I'll be the first one there to buy the costumes and share the news. The most recent job they booked together was with Troy James Boys. This was such a fun job since they shot together. I was so nervous because Wes was cranky from cutting his canines, but they still did great and luckily Karina was happy to watch Tenley (thanks, Karina!!) This was my favorite job they've done because these were actually clothes I'd put them in. The clothes were super soft and well-made. I can't wait until their online store launches and is available at Nordstrom. I can't believe my babies are models for such an amazing brand and they sure do look great in the boy's clothes (even my girly girl Ev):

(Follow them on Instagram for updates!! @troyjamesboys)

The twins were so exhausted after their shoot that they fell asleep on the way home and slept until after 3pm:

(He always sleeps with his eyes slightly open and it's so creepy!)

After naps we met the Stephens gals at Hidden Falls to finally give the twins their birthday gifts. Tenley was obsessed with the girls and kept patting them on the head saying, "she's my sweetie pie." Her girls were trying so hard to walk and Tenley was cheering them on, it was adorable! We had a fun afternoon with them (I think Jess can agree that the park with twins requires a glass of wine after though):

Ev woke up so early Friday morning that I for sure thought nap time was going to be a piece of cake, but that's never the case. She fought her nap and ended up falling asleep laying on me while we watched 'Frozen'. I sneakily moved her off of me so I could cuddle with Tenley on the other side of Ev:

Tenley wasn't herself at dance on Saturday and I'm guessing because Isla wasn't there. She was a bit shy and stood off to the side:

She did do well when they practiced their positions:

I was really shocked when they practiced back handsprings and she was too scared to go all the way back:

Right after dance class we headed to the Rices to celebrate Isla's third birthday. Since she is obsessed with Donald Duck, Linds threw her the cutest Donald Duck themed party and the birthday girl looked stunning in the fabulous dress her talented momma made her. The party was perfect:

(Trying to get a picture of these two is a next to impossible task. Isla is always posing like a beauty queen, while Tenley acts a fool.)

(After Isla blew out her candles Tenley shouted, "YAY!! Happy birthday, Isla!! YAY!!"; which made everyone ooh and awe at their adorable friendship.)

(I had Grandma Dee make Isla and Sailor aprons and Sailor's looked adorable!)

(Look at those lips!! I can't even.)

The party totally whipped out the twins and they napped all afternoon:
(Look how long Evie is!)

After naps and dinner, we collected all the old bread in the fridge and went to feed the ducks at the Veteran's Memorial Park in Boulder City. Karina told me about it once before so we figured we'd give it a try and I'm glad we did because it was really beautiful and the good new is that Wes only tried to go in the pond once. Tenley loved throwing bread at the duckies, while Ev and Wes followed her around. Ed and I loved observing our three kiddos run around and explore together:

We spent Sunday morning hanging out in the backyard with the kids:

The sun really tired the babies out and they napped really good before having a tea party with sissy:

Until next week! :)
