Weekly Update

Tenley's Spring Break started with a bang when Evie decided to wake me up at 4:30am on Monday morning. Luckily, she got to go back to sleep before anyone else even woke up:

I was too scared to move Ev from the couch so when Tenley and Wes woke up we quietly watched cartoons; which put Wes back to sleep:

We planned on going to the park Tuesday morning to celebrate Isla's third birthday, but the twins were both up at 4:30am, again. Both babes just wanted to cuddle and ended up napping by 8am:

Since the twins were both passed out, the Rice gals agreed to come to our place to celebrate the birthday girl. Tenley was so excited and got fancy for her bestie:

The girls had so much fun together and I got in some much needed Sailor time since I was baby-free, for once. While I was holding Sailor Tenley said, "what's her name, mommy?" and I said, "Sailor" and then she said, "she's so pretty." Then, my ovaries burst into a gazillion pieces. Even the twins love her. We all do:

(If I look like I'm crying it's because I am...it happens every time I hold her.)

(Happy third birthday, Isla!! We love you!!)

After the twins took their afternoon naps, we colored as we waited for daddy to get home:

Tenley's really been into Charley Brown so we read 'The Easter Beagle' and the kids really enjoyed the pictures that my mom included of me as a kid at Easter time. In one picture I have this teal dress on and Tenley kept saying, "that not you, mommy. That's Princess Jasmine!" She also kept pointing to me in the pictures and saying, "that's me!":

Later that night Ev threw up out of the blue so she got a early bath and got to play on the bed by herself while her brother and sister got a bath...whatever put a smile on her face:

Ev threw up again in the middle of the night. She was so congested that it was so difficult to nurse and nothing was coming out when I suctioned her. I'm guessing it was her allergies because so many people are suffering from them right now and it's just awful. Wes is cutting his canines so they're both just a barrel of laughs:

But wait, they really are a barrel of laughs when they have a few minutes of relief:

(Since I refuse to allow my kids to be Browns fans like my father-in-law, I agreed to let him make Wes a buckeye fan. He does look cute with that OSU football, huh?)

Wes is quite the parrot, but I can never catch him saying anything on video. I did catch him doing a really frickin' cute whale impersonation, though:

Tenley lined up her carriages for a parade Thursday morning and was pretty excited about it`:

Tenley and Wes bounced in the "bounce house", according to Tenley:

Wes took a good nap and woke up when I finally got Ev down, but she woke up within minutes of me leaving the bed to tend to Wes and Tenley. I brought her out in the living room thinking she'd be so tired that she'd just sleep on my chest while I sat and watched them play, but Wes had other plans:

Friday morning was a doozy around here...at about 4:30am Everly woke and I brought her into our bed and she wanted to nurse forever, then all of a sudden she threw up all over me. Then, Wes woke up crying so I had to wake Ed for some help. He took Ev out in the living room while I nursed Wes in bed and all of a sudden Wes threw up on me, too! It was not my morning. Ed was off to work while I cuddled my babies and shortly after they were passed out so sweetly in my arms:

This mucusy throw-up that is happening is so bizarre. It looks like someone blew the world's largest nose all over. I'm convinced it's teething and allergies so we've decided to move forward with our Easter plans and hopefully this is the last of it!

We had a great Easter weekend with our amazing friends.

Until next week! :)
