After 3 straight days of Tenley napping (also meaning that the babies were "allowed" to nap, too), I was determined to keep the good vibes flowing and have a great fricking week!
While Evie took an Early morning nap, Tenley and Wesley had fun playing on their swing set:
While Tenley was at school Wes napped and Evie practiced walking with her new walker:
This week Tenley is learning about the letter "C" and she made the cutest "caterpillwah"; which just may be my favorite craft of hers so far:
When she got home she kept saying, "brudda and sissy so prouda me, momma! I missed dem.":
Tenley gave Evie tons of belly kisses making her giggle so sweetly. These two are just the sweetest thing:
The twins woke up super early Tuesday morning (no surprise there). I finally got them both down for an early morning nap when Tenley decided to bust in the nursery and demand that they both hold her hand:
We met Lindsay and Isla at O'Callaghan Park:
I caught Evie showing off her walker skills:
I had to wake Tenley up for school on Wednesday and, boy, was she passed out:
After picking Tenley up from school I took the kids for a wagon ride in the "boat", as Tenley calls it:
The babies ate cut up avocados (mommy's fav!) and actually liked it because they were able to feed themselves:
Evie is just obsessed with the new walker we bought. She's always pushing it around the living room:
I'm convinced my babies do not want me to ever sleep. It's a non-stop cycle...Wes cries, Wes nurses to sleep, I put Wes in crib, I lay in bed, then Ev immediately cries, cycle repeats. As much as I HATE this cycle and am so run down, I am managing to get by and it may or may not have something to do with the rolls on this boy:
Both babes wanted to be rocked to sleep for their early morning naps:
I was so exhausted from the past few nights that I had to cancel a playdate at Karina's, but she had Lindsay bring me some delicious homemade pumpkin donuts to give me some energy:
(Thanks for the delicious donuts, Karina! Also, thanks for bringing them to me, Linds!)
I put the twins down for a nap and when I put them down they were both asleep; however a few minutes later I heard them giggling on the monitor and walked in to see this:
Wessie Boy isn't as into the Walker as Evie, but he's getting there:
Linds and Karina came over on Friday to keep me from falling asleep on the job so we had a house full of kiddos Friday morning:
(I would not survive being a twin mom without such great friends! They keep me going! Love you both!)
Tenley decided Friday would be a good day to start another nap strike (even after playing with all her friends for hours!) so fingers crossed this one doesn't last a month and a half!
Ed went to Hofbrauhaus after work on Friday with his friends while I had a lazy night in with the kiddos. We spent the night watching it rain and playing dress-up:
Ed took care of the kids Saturday morning so I could sleep until 8 because I was seriously dragging! My shirt couldn't have been more appropriate:
Tenley was happy to have Daddy home for the weekend (and happy to play dress-up, as always):
Tenley has school pictures next week so we went to Planet Hollywood (their Gap is my fav) to pick out a new outfit for picture day. Tenley must've been tired from picking out her picture day dress; which by the way she said was the perfect combination of, "Na May and Princey Anny" and wanted Daddy to put her in the carrier, but I think it's just because she's a Daddy's girl:
After shopping at Planet Hollywood, we went to Town Square to play at the park, eat pretzel bites and feed the birdies because it was too gorgeous of a day not to:
The shopping really tired the guys out, but Princess Tenley insisted on trying on her picture day dress and wearing it until she went to bed that night:
I got up early with the twins on Sunday and we had walker races. It was so cute because Wes started to win, but got confused when Ev was behind so he started to pull her walker forward for her. Then they just decided to switch walkers altogether. It was the sweetest thing:
Ev was in her bouncer and Wes decided to join her by standing along side her on the outside of it:
Tenley showed the babes how to climb into her bed and they had a tickle fest that seemed to last for hours. Tenley kept insisting that they have a slumber party, but I explained that they were still too young so she offered to give them "momma juice" in the middle of the night for me. They're a bunch of keepers:
Until next week! :)
