Weekly Update

It's not a typical day around here unless someone is causing trouble. On Monday morning, Wessie Boy was my early riser trouble maker. He was up so early to play, then quickly passed back out:

At school Tenley learned about the letter 'D' and made an adorable daisy full of 'D' words:

Since we live under a rock and don't have a printer, I lugged all the kiddos to PostNet to print and scan a document and lost track of the crazy kid for a second and found her hiding here:

On Monday night, the twins started standing on their own for a few seconds at a time. They were so determined that I know it won't be long before they're completely standing on their own:

All of that standing really exhausted Moose Man:

We met the Medrano crew at Hidden Falls Park for some fun in the sun and the kiddos had a blast:

(Ev's boyfriend, Camden...isn't he the cutest?!)

Ev fell asleep on our 2 minute drive home and was down for the count; however Tenley, my anti-nap child, wasn't having any of it:

Trying to get things done around here is a real joke. Doing one task leads to another. For instance, when I was cooking dinner and prepping meatballs for dinner the following night this happened:

Wednesday was picture day at school and Tenley was so excited! When I asked her if she was going to smile for the man taking her picture she said, "I put me me hands on me hips and say cheese!":

While Tenley was in school I found Ev walking around the living room after I went to go set Wes in his crib:

When I picked Tenley up I didn't even have to ask how picture day went because Miss Marsha came to the car and said, "oooh she did the cutest smile for her picture!" I can NOT wait to see her picture!

Once Tenley got home she slipped into comfy clothes and served the babes and I some tea:

The twins have NOT been sleeping so the only way to keep them (and myself) sane was to get outside so we went for a wagon ride and played in the backyard:

(Tenley just doesn't understand why Wes doesn't wear sparkle bows, too..)

I know I sound like a broken record, but I swear the twins have not slept at night for weeks. One of them is literally attached to me at all hours of the night and we've begun co-sleeping by at least 10pm because I'm just too tired of nursing by then. When I picture Ed and I throughout the night I laugh because it's like we're playing musical chairs...the baby on his side cries so we both get up and swap sides so I can nurse the baby on his side and he can prevent the baby on my side from rolling off. I totally think I'm getting used to the 2 hours of broken sleep. Who knew that was possible? Then, Friday morning those boogers decided to cuddle when Daddy left for work and totally kicked me out of bed:

While Evie Cakes took an early nap I started to get Tenley dressed for the day. I picked out her shirt and she told me there wasn't enough "barkles" and kept saying, "I need more barkles, mommy!" as she threw this fancy Nancy skirt and sparkle bow at me. She is getting to be such a girly girl that I don't know where she gets it from. After little miss thing was all "barkled" out I took her and Wes outside to burn off some steam:

Even after all that fresh air Tenley still wasn't feel nap or "relaxation time":

Tenley gave Evie some lovin' after her bath:

We went to Art in The Park Saturday morning. Wes and Ev were in awe of all the people, while Tenley had fun at the park and had nearly an hour long conversation with a pig. I didn't buy anything, but I did enjoy the scenery and noticed that my favorite house in Historic Boulder City is for sale:

We planned on going to the pumpkin patch shortly after Art in The Park, but for the first time in forever (sung in my 'Frozen' voice), all the kids took a nap!! I know, right? Everyone woke up in greattt moods; which warranted pictures, duh

After our impromptu photo sesh, we went to meet the Rices, who were already at the pumpkin patch, for some Fall fun! Tenley was so excited that we couldn't keep her off the slides. We couldn't believe that she was able to climb to the top all by herself. October is truly the most wonderful time of the year:

The twins are still too young to truly have "fun" at the pumpkin patch, but they loved riding around in the wagon, picking out pumpkins and eating hay:

While I was taking pictures of the twins a man asked if we wanted him to take our picture and Tenley said, "yeah, sure! I go up high with my friend." So our family of 5 picture became a family of 6 picture:

Isn't it crazy to think that this picture was after last year's Art in The Park/Pumpkin Patch outing?

After the pumpkin patch, we treated Tenley to her first Dairy Queen ice cream cone. It's no Handel's, but girlfriend is a big fan of sprinkles and kept saying, "it's DELICIOUSSSS!!":

Sunday started with walker races:

Tenley got a package from Grandma Cat and her favorite thing of all was the new Ariel Barbie:
(Thanks, Grandma Cat!! We love you!!)

We watched 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' and now Tenley keeps saying, "I go to Dinneylan and take a pic-a-ture with Jack!" Girlfriend is obsessed and wouldn't let us do anything other than snuggle on the couch and watch it over and over again; which was totally okay with us:

Until next time! :)
