So you know that fever and cold I had Saturday and Sunday? Well, the kids came down with it Sunday night and were full blown sick Monday morning. Tenley skipped school and distracted herself by dressing up and cuddling with Pearl:
I caught the Moose Man cooling off in the refrigerator:
Luckily, Ed had Tuesday off for Veteran's Day:
Obviously I was thrilled because my Monday being sick with 3 sick kids was awful and I was in desperate need of some help. We had some albuterol on hand from the last time the kids were all sick so we called the doc to see if we should add that to the decongestant that he prescribed them last week and he said yes so we added breathing treatments to our list of to-dos:
Wednesday rolled around and my Moosey Boy still had a fever. Absolutely nothing was breaking it. He was miserable:
His breathing sounded awful and after three nights of no sleep due to temps in the 102's I decided to call the doc and, of course, they all perked up right before we were getting ready to leave for our appointment:
Doc said the crackling I could hear when Wes breaths is all in his chest and not in his lungs, so that was good news. He suggested continuing them all on the decongestant and breathing treatments until they were all better. He checked Wes' ears; which were fine. Then, check his throat; which he said was extremely red and he said his lymph nodes were all swollen so he tested Wes for Step. The test came back negative so he couldn't understand why his fever wasn't breaking. Then, he looked in his mouth again and discovered that he was getting two molars. I swear this kid is trying to have all his teeth by his first birthday!
Since Tenley and I were getting our appetites back, I made this yummy organic chicken in the crockpot with green beans and pierogies on the side. Tenley loved it all and we were so shocked! Now we all have a favorite quick and easy dinner that Grammy Sophie would be so proud of:
The Moose Man still wasn't himself on Thursday:
Ev slept all morning on Thursday and I actually had to wake her for Tenley's first dance class. The nap did her all sorts of good because she woke up feeling like a million bucks:
My fierce little ballerina was so extremely ready for her first class. She was so funny picking out her outfit...purple tutu for Namay, Namay bracelet (she was very upset when I told her she couldn't wear her necklace because it would be hitting her in the face during class, "but I need my Namay neggacey, Mommy! It matches me bracey.") and of course the perfect Ballerina accessory- a Shelby Chic Sparkle Bow!! She. Was. Ready. To. Dance.:
As soon as we walked into the studio and saw the other kids and moms she proclaimed, "I WANNA DANCE!" They all laughed and said, "oh she's going to be perfect!" Our little shy Isla took a little more time to break out of her shell, but she did and they both had so much fun! The girls really meshed well with the other 2 girls in the class, Riley and Dora. Linds and I laughed (and almost cried) the entire time because the cuteness was just out of this world:
The girls learned some basics:
They played a little 'Follow the Leader':
They cleaned with "brooms" and learned to courtesy like Princesses:
They learned "Mermaid Poses":
Then, they put their Mermaid Poses to use and danced to "Part of Your World" (this is the moment that I knew Tenley would be obsessed with this class):
That night Tenley practiced her moves for Daddy:
Wes woke up in the middle of the night and decided he needed a hug from his sis and it was the sweetest thing ever:
The girls loved on each other while I made tacos for dinner Friday night:
After dinner, we went to the mall where Wes tried on the most adorable hat (don't worry I did purchase it the following day) and Tenley saw Santa and didn't seem too frightened:
(Maybe she'll sit on his lap this year?! Maybe...)
The kids were in a great mood when we got home so I took advantage of it and Ed caught me cuddlin' with them all in the nursery chair:
The kids goofed off after their baths:
We went to Town Square Saturday and the babes were fascinated with the massive Christmas tree. We even got to wave to Santa, again:
Speaking of Santa, a present arrived from the North Pole and I can not wait until my little Ballerina opens this one on Christmas day:
I woke up extremely early on Sunday to get ready for family pictures, make breakfast and get beef stew in the crock pot. We took pictures in the freezing cold and Tenley kept saying, "it too cold!" Hopefully we got some good pics, though! We did absolutely nothing besides cuddle on the couch the rest of the day:
Until next time! :)
