Weekly Update

My teething monsters were up bright and early Monday morning and watched Daddy head off to work before the sun even came up:

While Tenley slept in, these two had walker races:

Tenley brought donuts to school on Monday to celebrate her third birthday with her friends from school. Miss Marsha gave her a crown to wear while she made a ghost for the letter 'G' and stuffed her face with chocolate and "white" donuts (as she likes to call them):

When Tenley got home from school she had a surprise waiting from Grammy and Pop-Pop- a light-up and "Let it Go" singing Elsa dress:
(Thanks, Grammy and Pop-Pop!!)

That night Wes screamed from a little before 9pm until sometime after 1am. He did not let up at all. The poor boy was MISERABLE. We tried everything, but the only thing that finally got him to sleep was rubbing some lavender doTERRA oil on his jaw and putting him to sleep in the ergo with some Mickey Mouse on the TV:

That morning Wes was in a total daze and just wanted to chomp on frozen toys. Poor boy cut two bottom teeth and all 4 of his canines were extremely swollen. This boy is a teething machine. Luckily, I got him to nap in my arms and he caught up on some rest:

Since my in-laws were in a slot tournament Tuesday morning, we had a play date with the Venturino girls. Tenley wore her new outfit from Aunt Jewie and dressed Evie up as a bumble bee (Tenley's first real Halloween costume), then dressed Sofia up as the bumble bee. No one gets out of our house without dressing up:

When Ed got home from work my in-laws gave me a gift to open from Grandma Rita. Although I already knew what was inside, I was just as giddy as ever. She makes thee most gorgeous handmade stockings for everyone in her family. She had the twins stocking made since last Christmas just in case they arrived early so she must have been dying waiting to give these to me. They take her so long to make as everything is stitched on and you can just see the amount of love oozing out of each one. These are my absolute favorite things about Christmas because they are truly something that each kid will treasure each year and take with them to carry on the tradition with their family. I can't wait to hang the twins stockings next to Tenley and Ed's:

(Thanks, GiGi!! You are amazing!! Love you!!)

While Tenley was at school on Thursday I got the twins dressed in their "My First Halloween" threads because sissy was going to the senior home next to her school after class to sing and trick-or-treat so, of course, we got dressed for the occasion:

When we arrived Tenley had no idea we were there and I was amazed at how well she listened. Holding her friends hand in line, listening to every word her teacher said. It was like she was a completely different child. Then, as soon as she saw us she instantly lit up and screamed, "Pop-Pop! Gram! I need dem to see me dance!" and started to run to them, but as soon as Miss Marsha asked her to get back in line she did! It was amazing. This is a mix of her preschool class, pre-k and the all-day kids. They are just the cutest:

She was so shy at first and just stood for the first song, but looked so sweet while doing so:

After the first song, she started to participate:

Then, I finally figured out what she was dressed-up as when she pulled a blow dryer out of her pocket and started waving it in the air and her friend Addy came over to get her hair done:

After singing they worked up an appetite and went trick-or-treating. The seniors at the home loved it and we especially loved watching them, too:

After school Tenley tried on these vampire teeth she got while trick-or-treating and had fun scaring everyone:

Then, we managed to squeeze in a good picture of the kiddos with Grammy and Pop-Pop in their Halloween threads:

I got Tenley ready to spend the day with Grammy and Pop-Pop on Thursday and it looked like she turned into a teenager over night:

While Tenley went to the Springs Preserve, I was on Twin Duty. Wes was cruisin' around the house with his walker like a champ and so, so proud of himself. I really enjoyed my alone time with the two of them because it's so rare to get more than an hour and a half with them:

I think Tenley also enjoyed the alone time with her grandparents, cousin and Aunt:

Tenley woke up on Halloween ready to go trick-or-treating and practiced the trick-or-treat song all morning:

She even dressed her and Ev up and pumped Wes up:

Thank God the kids were being good because I waited until the last minute to make Ev's Mike Wazowski tutu and it took me foreverrrrrr:

Then, I also made these peanut butter spider cookies (also last minute), but the girls were a big help:

That night we had a blast celebrating Halloween at The Rices!

Grammy and Pop-Pop bought Tenley a "Treasure Maker" (as she calls it) and she likes to practice writing her name on the note pad and is really good at making T's and saying "Tenney Elizabet!":

My in-laws treated us (or maybe just me) to Britney Spears tickets and I was so SUPER excited!! My mother-in-law stayed home to watch the babies, while we had a double date with The Queen:

Her theatre at Planet Holleywood is awesome. It has all of her famous outfits encased and these were my favorites:
(I can so picture my dramatic, little dancing queen, Tenley in her outfit from 'Star Search'!

Although I was the only one belting out her tunes, I had a blast!!! She was amazing!! She sang a number of songs live, interacted with the crowd, brought Kathy Griffin on stage for a skit...I just can't even put it into words!! I just NEED to go again:

(Thanks for the amazing night out, mom and dad! It was such a great treat! Love you both!)

My in-laws left Sunday afternoon and it was especially hard this time because Tenley understands so she kept saying, "I don't want you to leave me," and "I need Grammy to hold me." It was hard and it's going to keep getting harder. The countdown to their next visit has begun...the twins first birthday!!
(Miss you guys already!!)

Wes took a really long afternoon nap and when he woke up Evie made sure to let him know how much he was missed:

(Their bond melts my heart.)

Tenley played with the babies in her room and kept hugging them and saying, "I'm gonna keep you." It was the perfect ending to a super busy week:

Until next time! :)
