Since we only went to Disneyland for a half-day on Sunday we had another half-day planned for Wednesday. We started off our morning at breakfast in Disneyland at the Plaza Inn; which was amazing because it was hoppin' with characters. As soon as we were seated the Fairy Godmother came over to hug the girls (and Pop Pop). And she was quickly followed by Max and Chip:
Rafiki came and kissed the girls hands, then snuck up on Wes and Wes was NOT happy about that:
Leave it to Captain Hook to be the first character that Wes actually liked the entire time. We're thinking maybe he's more into villains? Typical BOY move, Wes:
Tiggr hopped by our table and played peek-a-boo with the kids, then had a hopping contest with Tenley:
Last but certainly not least we got to visit with Pooh Bear and he entertained the kids with more peek-a-boo and hugs:
After eating our weight in french toast covered with banana syrup, we made our way to the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. The babies loved this ride, but the angler fish scared Tenley (go figure) and she thought the diver was going to get us:
Then we went on It's a Small World; which is always so fascinating:
Finally, we made our way to Mickey's Toon Town for the very first time and we loved it! I loved that everything was miniature. We didn't even know that this place existed last time and I'm so sad because the kids loved it. When we got there the girls spotted Pluto and had to say hello:
We let the kids burn off some energy at Goofy's Playhouse:
We visited Minnie & Mickey's houses before leaving Toon Town, but only got to go inside Mickey's and it was so cool. The kids loved being able to run and climb on everything:
Of course we couldn't leave Disneyland without riding Tenley's favorite ride- The Teacups! And this time she chose yellow:
Next on our to-do list: Pixie Hollow! The girls were so excited to meet Rosetta and Tinkerbell:
Tinkerbell was so sweet to the girls. She loved that Tenley's hair was just like hers and told Tenley that she was going to put their picture in her scrapbook and take it back to Pixie Hollow to show all her fairy friends (Tenley loved that!). She was just the sweetest:
Lastly, Ed and I used our FastPasses to ride Space Mountain while my mom watched all the kiddos. I still don't know how I feel about this ride. I kept feeling like we were going to crash into something since it was pitch black. My face in this picture kind of says it all:
(What a trooper that little girl in the front was!)
On our way out Ed snapped a quick pic of my mom and I in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle:
Speaking of Sleeping Beauty, this little beauty couldn't keep her eyes open on the walk back to our car:
I can't believe our vacation is over! It exceeded my expectations in so many ways. We created so many memories with our kids that I will never forget and I'm so glad that our families were able to be apart of them this time, too. A special thanks to both of our families to treating us all while on our tip- you are all so good to us! And thanks to Ed for always being such a trooper and loving to vacation just as much as I do. You are my soul mate and I can't wait for our next adventure! Love you and Happy Anniversary, too!
Here's to being that old couple holding hands in Disneyland with our kids and loads of grandkids in 30 years!!
