The kids woke up super early Monday morning so we played outside before it got too hot out:
The twins woke up early again on Tuesday and I was so tired while we cuddled (and quickly became the third wheel):
When Tenley finally woke up and joined the party she said she slept better "because of her fancy Elsa and Anna nightgown" from Gram:
(Thanks, Grammy!!)
The kids played so well together while Ed and I watched the Cavs beat Golden State:
When we went to Cowabunga Bay the first time Ed's swim trunks completely split down the front (we're talking everything exposed!) so the kids and I went to buy him a new pair and then hit up PetsMart to buy Pearl food. The kids had a blast looking at all the animals. If you know Wessie Boy you could just hear him clicking his tongue and screaming with excitement as Ev "oohs!" softly, while Tenley directs the way:
Later that afternoon, I got the kids ready and distracted them with some bubbles and chalk outside while Ed showered and got ready for the pool. Once Ed was ready, I broke the news that we were going to the water park and I've never seem them so excited to get sprayed with sunscreen:
We had so much fun cooling off at the kid zone and lazy river at Cowabunga Bay. Before leaving we had to get some cold treats...dole whips, obvi! We also got a churro to share, but Evie ran off with it:
(How twins share a churro.)
The twins were exhausted on Thursday and were total couch potatoes:
They managed to get pumped up for the Cavs game that night, even though we ended up losing:
Ev and Wes got up at 5am on Friday (have I mentioned how much I hate teething?!) and my day was off to a rough start, but then the twins held hands for the first time; which totally melted my heart and, of course, made me cry ('cause I'm thee most emotional person on the planet):
(Really, you two?!)
Then, Ed texted me this picture; which got me all giddy:
Before Tenley's dance class Wes helped me fold Daddy's work clothes and looked like such a big boy in Daddy's work vest:
Tenley's class is in full on recital mode. Maybe it's just me, but it's actually quite stressful. From the fake hair, make-up and 7pm recital with 2 babes...I'm worried. This dance biz is legit. At least the girls don't take themselves seriously and just have fun while all of us dance moms share our worries about them being alone backstage without us while they practice. They practiced their routine with the two older girls on each end at dance class and also practiced their finale routine. Tenley was this week's line-leader so she got to lead the class and got to practice her somersaults first:
After naps we ran our errands and the twins loved the applesauce samples they got:
Evie was pooped Sunday morning, but Tenley was raring to go to "Bunga Bay" so we made the kids breakfast, made pasta sauce and meatballs and threw it in the crock pot, then got the kids ready for the water park:
We just love Cowabumga Bay! Tenley has been enjoying "a-laxin'" in the sun, Wes likes to float on his belly and Ev just loves to do it all! We ventured to the wave pool this time and the kids had a ball letting the waves crash on them. Their giggles were priceless and I'm bummed I didn't get any pictures (I really need a waterproof case!). Then, we went to our fav spot- the lazy river. We were prepared this time with our duo pool float; which made it much easier to float and relax with the kids as we floated around the river. The kids love this area because of the little splash pad areas; which Ed and I love because we can sit and watch them play together- it's perfect:
After all that fun in the sun we had a really chill afternoon at home:
Until next time! :)
